Chapter Seven
“I’d like to sleep at my place tonight. How about you come over?” she told him with a grin the next morning.
“Alright. I can do that.”
“Now, I need to get to work. Lots to learn,” she announced when he reached for her, but she was too quick. “Sorry, no shenanigans this morning, love. But . . .” her voice pitched higher, “I have a surprise for you tonight.” She gave him a quick peck on the lips.
He chuckled. “I can’t wait.”
And before he could convince her to reconsider going to work early, she’d dashed into the bathroom and blasted the shower.
Tonight. He could be patient.
Lily got settled at her desk and buzzed Leti.
