Chapter Nine Brandon’s apartment felt void of any life. An otherwise spacious, contemporary condo on the beach, he hadn't realized how blank the walls were. He should have purchased some art when he moved in. Instead a vastness of stark white stared back at him, daring him to do something. He massaged his brow. He underestimated what Lily had come to mean to him. He tried to minimize their relationship to just s*x, and why? To protect the company? Or to protect himself?
