6: Thrusted in Confusion

Alexa's POV

Since the last time I asked Auden about my family and got no reply, I had tried about five more times, trying to get a reply because of how worried I am.

But each time I asked, he would ask me to leave and focus on the baby, or he wouldn't just reply. It was annoying and taking a huge toll on me, but there was nothing I could do about it.

It's been a week now, and I was slowly getting used to the way things worked in the house, especially with the maids around. The maids were so many, and I wasn't allowed to do anything, not even have my bath myself.

According to Auden, it was because of the baby. He wanted to be sure that the baby was in perfect condition, even when he was making me sad everyday.

Staring around my room, I suddenly felt the urge to see him and talk to him too. I still had questions to ask him and I was also bored.

“Maya?" I called out to my personal maid, but I got no response. That was weird, my personal maid was always around to attend to my requests.

“I should check up on Auden."

Getting out of bed, I stared back at myself in the mirror and rested my hand on my belly. It hadn't been up to a month, but I could already feel my baby.

Maybe, just maybe it was all in my head. I really couldn't wait to meet her…or him. I didn't care about the gender and I hoped Auden wouldn't also, even though I heard him saying something about getting a male child to “carry on with his legacy."

Slowly, I walked towards Auden's room, but I didn't see him. Infact, it was empty. I turned around to leave, when I saw a maid walking towards my direction.

"Do you know where Alpha Auden is?" I asked her, and she shook her head before bowing and excusing herself.

I decided to go to the throne hall to check on him. I was almost sure that he was there.

"I still don't understand why you're calling me now. I already told you that she's with me and-"

Immediately Auden noticed my presence in the throne hall, he tried hiding his phone, but it was already too late. I had already seen the person he was on a video call with; Trevor.

Yes, the same Trevor who betrayed me and was the main reason why I was currently miserable in his brother's house.

"Alexa? Is that Alexa, Auden?" Trevor said, and I watched Auden freeze in place before quickly hanging the phone up.

I didn't know why, but a part of me wanted to talk to Trevor, just a little part. It was little, but it was there.

"Why are you here? Weren't you in your room?" Auden asked, while moving closer to me. When he was barely an inch away from me, he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me even closer.

He corked his head to the side and placed his mouth just behind my right ear. His scent clouded my nose, and I suddenly felt my legs wobble under me. "Are you alright?"

He asked, before resting one hand on my belly. I slowly gulped down, and held on to a hem of my dress to stay in place.

"Um, I -" I started saying, but stopped when his mouth went even lower, and I could feel it only skin, slowly sniffing and taking in my scent, the way I was also taking his too.

"Why are you shaking? Am I...doing too much?" He asked, as he gripped me even harder, and turned me around, pushing my back to his chest.

I shut my eyes and tried balancing my breathing pattern. But the more I tried, the more his scent clogged up my mind and made it harder to focus. I didn't understand the type of feeling I was getting from his touch.

It...felt the same way when I was still with Trevor, but even better, way better. I could feel every inch of my skin throbbing, with heat coursing through me. His touch was having a huge effect on me, and he knew that, the way he tried taking advantage of it by trailing his fingers down my right arm.

The more he touched me, the more my legs became weaker. I was sure that if it continued for another minute, I'd be falling in his hands, feeling totally weak from his touch.

Suddenly, I forced my eyes open, and pushed my body away from his. I turned around to see his eyes searching mine.

I could see his eyes dancing playfully. He was making fun of me. Feeling irritated, I sneered, and turned around to leave, but I felt his grip on me.

"What's the issue, Auden? Can you let me go?" I asked politely, while trying to loosen his grip around me. But the more I tried, the tighter it became. He was strong, really strong.

Even with that, I still tried to show him that I wanted to stay as far away as I could from him at that moment.

"You can't stay away from me, even if you tried, Alexa. So, don't try anything funny." He said, slowly pulling me closer.

He stopped just when our chests were about to collide. "I know you saw Trevor, but I don't want you to even think about him. Is that clear?" He asked, and I instantly felt disgusted.

How silly could he be?

The heat pumping in me was quickly replaced by anger. I wondered why he thought he could boss me around anyhow he liked, just because I was carrying his child...our child.

"Auden, you don't have any right whatsoever ever to say that to me. You're not the boss of me and...you will never be, you-"

He gripped my other hand, and suddenly pulled me closer, not caring about the maids walking around in the hall.

"Okay, Alexa. I think you are forgetting the fact that you're in my house and you'll stay here for several months, so you better get used to me bossing you around because I'd be doing a lot of that now."

"You're mine and you will be for the next few months. Get that straight. Forget about everything that has to do with Trevor and focus on me and only me, Alexa."

"Get off me!" I yelled, and forced him away from me, rushing out of the hall as fast as I could. I could hear my heart pumping loudly, with my body still shaking.

Curse Auden! f**k, I hate him so much and I hate the effect he has on me more.

"Where is she? Alexa!" I heard a voice shouting when I was just having my breakfast with Auden in total silence.

I instantly recognized the voice. Trevor's.

Immediately, I started feeling my heart clenching against my chest, and it felt like all the air in the hall was suddenly sucked out.

Wh...what is he doing here? I asked myself, as I pushed my body off the chair. It seemed Auden already acknowledged his presence too, with the way his frown deepened.

Ignoring his words, I ran out of the hall, and went outside to see Trevor standing in front of it, looking so angry. His eyes danced around angrily and the moment they settled on me, I could see them soften a bit.

Without wasting a second, he ran towards me and lifted me up, twirling me around like he hadn't seen me in a while. Well, he hadn't.

"Damn, I've missed you so much baby! How are you?" He asked, while I just froze in place, with a million thoughts running through my head and mind.

What is happening?

Before I could lift my hands to embrace him back like the little voice in my head told me to, I felt Trevor move away from him.

"Don't you ever touch her again! You don't have the right!" I heard Auden say behind me. Before I could say anything, he gripped my hand and was about to drag me inside, when Trevor gripped my other hand.

"Ignore him, Alexa. I'm here to take you with me." He said, pulling me closer. I felt Auden's grip around me loosen and he dashed inside.

Immediately Auden went inside, a smile broke through Trevor's lips and he was about to pull me into an embrace, when I stopped him.

"No." That was all I said, all I could say to him because my heart was still racing and I was so confused.

"Yes, Alexa. You're mine and I'm here for you. We can go home together and be happy together. I'm so sorry for everything that I did to hurt you, I really am and I am here to show you just how sorry I am."

"I-"

"Don't say anything, Alexa. I love you so much and I am not ready to let you go. "

At that moment, I...I was short of words and my heart started feeling heavier with every breath I took in.

What is happening? I asked myself for the second time that day, before feeling my legs wobble under me.
