Hopeless

One

It was an ordinary day in Sophie's life. She woke up at 6:am and went for her morning run. She ate some breakfast and was getting ready to leave for school when something unusual happened.

She had lived in the orphanage for as long as she could remember and had never been adopted by anyone. A woman came inside her small room wearing formal clothes and gave a small smile.

"Hi! I was wondering if you would follow me?" She spoke nervously and looked down at the floor. Sophie anxiously followed her outside the room and into an office. Two unfamiliar faces looked back at her.
