Jasper POV
Driving through the pack lands, I spotted a wolf running through the woods along the road. Wolfgang pushed forward to have a closer look and inhaled deeply. “It smells like a female wolf. Look at that coloring. I’ve never seen that color, and she has a powerful build.”
I watched her run smoothly and elegantly, vaulting over overgrown bushes and fallen branches. I can’t place her scent.’ he said. I could only nod as I was entranced and unable to look away. That was a rare color for a wolf. It looked familiar, but I couldn’t place it either.
Wolfgang pushes forward, “Hmmm, smell that ... home. I want to run and get back to nature with my territory.”
“You want to see if we can find that she-wolf? I could use a welcome home f**k” I told Wolfgang with a naughty grin.
He snorted, “I am sure you could, you horndog,” laughing at himself, calling me a dog.
When we arrived, my parents were waiting for me at the door of the Pack House. It’s been over a year since their last visit, and Mom will be shocked to learn how much I’ve changed.
Everything looked the same, and I couldn’t be happier to be home. My Mom greeted me when I was close enough for her to grab me. I am so glad to see her. I am sure I squeezed too tightly, but she would never complain. She looked up at me and whispered through her tears, ‘Look at you, Jasper; I am so glad you’re home.’ Then they bombarded me with questions, and I could only laugh.
As we walked up the stairs, Mom and Dad were bantering with each other about the plans for my birthday party since they missed it because I chose to have it overseas. I got the sense someone was watching me. I tried to ignore it but was curious; no one knew I was coming home yet. Wolfgang moves forward, and he feels the same thing.
They continued their banter about building a new Stadium to house all the she-wolves for me to meet. I looked at them like they were crazy. I still couldn’t shake the sense of being watched when my curiosity got the best of me; I looked to my left and saw the most beautiful she-wolf ever. Our eyes locked, and my world stood still.
My eyes ran down the length of her body, and she was perfect. She wore training gear and still had sweat beads on her face and neck. I could see her green eyes sparkle from here. Her unique hair color resembled the she-wolf I saw running, and I wondered if she was the same wolf running near Red Dawn Pack lands on my drive-in.
The longer I looked at her, the more I realized it was Adalynn Taylor. My Goddess, how she has changed. No longer was she a skinny little she-wolf with red hair and freckles; she was a beautiful young lady with curves in all the right places. She had the clearest complexion I have ever seen, not a blemish anywhere.
I quickly glanced at Beta Jake, and he was watching our reactions to each other. I looked back at her, added her image to my memory vault, and promptly followed my parents inside.
Wolfgang pushed forward again and raised my nose slightly to catch her scent. “That’s the same she-wolf we saw running,” he spoke. “Wished you’d got out of the car to run now, I bet.” I mumbled, “No shit.”
