Adalynn POV
My eyes open as soon as my alarm rings, telling me it’s time to get up. Damn it, I forgot I set my alarm early, so Phoenix ran before school.
She jumps up, wagging her tail, saying, “Get up, Adalynn. Let’s go!”
‘Ugh, why are you in such a good mood?’ It’s too early.’
‘Oh, come on. Get up, lazy butt.’ She laughs. ‘Call me lazy again, and you’ll not run for a week.’ I snap back.
‘Whatever. I can push forward and shift without your permission, and you know I can and will do it if you want to play that game.’ She huffs. ‘Can you imagine the things I can get into with you shoved so far back that you’ll have no say.’ She says with pure mischief in her tone.
‘You’re not gonna win every argument with that threat.’ I yawn and head to the ensuite.
