Adalynn POV
Scott didn’t call me this morning, and I am waiting by my locker for him to show up. I look at my phone for the hundredth time, and there isn’t a message from him either. He was on patrol with Steve, looking for these rogues. I am worried now it’s unusual for him not to call me at all.
I head off to my first class and find Dakota staring at her phone, trying to will Steve to call her. At least she can feel through their bond that he’s alright. I don’t have that with Scott yet. The rogue sightings have everyone on edge.
Jasper, Eric, and Blake walked into the room and quietly took their seats. I look at Dakota and shrug. I mind-linked her, “That’s weird. When was the last time they were quiet like this?” She shrugs and shakes her head, “I can’t remember when.”
