Jasper POV
I looked at Dad, trying to digest everything I had just learned. “Are Mom and the others still in the saferoom?” I asked. “Yes, Jasper. I thought it was best to leave them for a little while if Aries tries something again. They are safe there.”
“I have called a meeting with my unit, the elite guards, and border control in an hour. We need to find out how he broke through the perimeter and reached the school and devise a better plan to protect the territory.” My dad stood up and walked out of the library.
I got up to follow him, but I stopped at the door. Not only am I overwhelmed, but Wolfgang is quiet—too quiet. I told my dad I needed to run. He nods, knowing that running allows wolves to sort their thoughts out.
‘Wolfgang, do you know anything about any of this?’ I asked
