Adalynn POV “Adalynn, is Scott picking you up for school?” Mom yells from the kitchen. “No, Mom. Today, I’m taking the car. See you after school,” I holler as I walk out the door. My phone rings as soon as I enter the building. I open my bag and see Dakota’s name on the screen. I swipe and say, “Hey, girl.” “Where are you?” she asks. I laughed and replied, “I just turned the corner,” as I tapped on her shoulder and disconnected the call. We walked into the cafeteria to get our new semester schedules and compare them. “Wow, all my classes have changed. Did your schedule change, too?” I asked Dakota.
