Mom started the dishwasher, as the guys came in. “Adalynn, Happy Birthday baby girl.” Dad puts his arms around my shoulders and holds me tight. “Your mom has set up the bunker for tonight. The boys and I will stay upstairs taking turns on watch.”
“I have extra patrol on the house tonight. I am not sure if you paid any attention, but I installed new reinforced shutters over the main floor windows.” He informed us. “The upstairs windows have black blinds and with all the lights being off we will be able to see outside without a problem.”
