“It’s over for now,” she whispered, placing her hand on my shoulder. It is safe to go upstairs now.”
“Thank you, Donna.” I smiled, appreciating her care. I believe your family will stay at the packhouse and suggest you stay here, too. You will be safe here,” she said before she and Emil headed out the door.
Dakota and I followed Luna Teri upstairs after we received the all-clear. We turned the corner into the kitchen, and I immediately spotted my dad receiving medical attention for his wounds. I am so thankful to the Goddess that he’s in one piece, but he’s now looking at Mom.
I saw Scott standing by the side with the Alpha, and I headed directly toward them. Scott looked up, and I could see the relief in his eyes as I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him tight. T
