Chapter 25

As soon as the others saw me descending the stairs with a jaded look on my face, they both hurtled over to where I stood with three steps remaining to the floor. Even though my nonchalance to the ongoing frenzy was a bit shocking to them, their eyes widened, even more, when they saw Theresa run out from behind me. "What's going on, man?" Taylor asked, noticing my brooding. "If you didn't have fun with her, you could come to have fun with us." "No thanks. Get everyone the hell out of here now." They both stood stunned by my new attitude. "We will. But at least we tell us why," Evans finally found his voice. "Look at us, we're having a good time." "Well, this fun of yours will not be a thing of fun for Alice when she returns." "Why are you worrying about Alice right now?" Evans said, walking up to me. "She's probably out there having the best time of her life, no offense…" "Some taken!" "Okay, I apologize. Anyways, she's out there, okay? And with her absence comes a gift of freedom. A choice to just look around, pick any random girl that catches your eye, and please yourself." "I think I have pleased myself enough for one day, Evans. I just need some peace okay?" "Are you sure? You don't need these luscious bodies walking around the house?" I looked around. All the ladies were dressed shabbily and the men, the fee who had accompanied us back were ogling at them, some already undressing them with their eyes. Booze circulated the large living room in plastic cups alongside a reasonable amount of cocaine. Perhaps, partying with them was not that bad an idea. I shrugged and collected the can of beer from Taylor's outstretched hand. It was getting dark but I could still use a little fun, I thought. Grudgingly, I alighted the remaining steps and dragged my legs to the raving group. Everyone was in a frenzy, and I was among those being controlled by the throbbing music. I can't say how much but I was sure I had more than enough drunks that I had planned for, not to talk of the women that swarm around me like locusts. I loved Alice, but in her absence, every individual with an ass and a set of luscious breasts was a target for me. That was a part of me that would always stand. Because of how I knew she'd feel if she found out, I kept this lifestyle of mine sinister from her knowledge, and at a point, I even resolved to stick with her but with every minute she stayed apart from me, my heart grew darker and would only give way to guilt after I had quivered an o****m in another lady's mouth or pupenda. Cheating on her wasn't right, but What could I do? I had needs and they had to be satisfied. After a while, I got exhausted from all the dancing and returned to my room accompanied by a lady I had met and talked with a few minutes ago. I barely remembered what she looked like but I could remember being on top of her when Alice called. I sighed remembering how hard it was to get the other lady to stop moaning or even steady my heavy breathing, so she wouldn't get suspicious of my whereabouts. But was it necessary to pick up her call? I had called her phone a lot of times during the day but she didn't pick up my calls. Why then did I have to panic so much? The creak of the bathroom door drew my attention. I took a sip of my glass of whiskey as I watched the lady I had just finished sleeping with, put on her clothes and after giving me a naughty smile, walk out. I was too drenched to my last atom of energy to even respond but somehow I managed to put on my trousers and trousers and head downstairs groping round to maintain my balance. The party was going well but it was getting late. I knew these ladies from town didn't know about the word hiatus. They could go on for hours and deeper into the night as long as they were fed with booze and horny men. But, we on the other hand needed to rest. I especially had had over three women share my bed since noon. It was time I had some shut-eye so I could get to work early and sharp tomorrow. Taylor and Evans saw me descending staggered on the stairs and rushed to my side to help me stand firm. "C'mon guys. That's enough of a party for one night. Chase these people off, it's time for a little quiet." Evans was together with me on the thought but as I had expected Taylor wanted the party to last till the morning. "But… " He tried to protest but I wouldn't let him. "No buts! Because while I was sleeping with that girl, Alice called saying she would be back anytime soon." "What?! " They both chorused. "Yeah. It's getting late. Let's retire for the night," I ordered, not minding their groan. "Look at my house. I barely even recognize it. It's a freaking clubhouse. Just get these people out and on their way home." Taylor was upset when he heard my verdict. He was just like those uptown girls who never believed that time had essence when it came to having fun. But did I care? No! It was my house and therefore my rules. If I wanted the party over, then It had to be called to an end. Flashing me a hurtful gaze, Taylor walked over to the booming speakers and switched off the music. "Okay everyone, the party's over!" He paused to listen to the pained uproar from the guests. "I know but the owner of the house wants the party to end. Get yourself a ride home and remember if you're drunk call a cab, thank you, ladies." The guests began to file out the door. A few guys had accompanied us back from the party and as they staggered out with ladies attached to their arms, I could hear the way they spoke spitefully of the house's owner for abruptly ending the bash. "Such a loser, why would he end the party this early?" One scoffed. "We were just beginning to get lucky with some ladies. Who knows? I would have probably gotten a threesome tonight." Listening to the jives, I found them amusing. None of it had any hurting effect on me, but just further demoralized the gossipers in my eyes. If only they understood their gossip was just a waste of time and that it was my house and I could do whatever I pleased. It took a while but finally, the house emptied leaving behind plastic cups and beer cans that littered the table, couch, and floor. I was too weak and drunk to do anything so I just reclined on the couch and watched the other two clean up the mess. "You know it's bad enough to have my party abruptly stopped. But why let me suffer by cleaning up?" Taylor complained, groaning. "Let you suffer? I wasn't the one who begged you to…" a churning in my stomach cut the words shut. Without warning, I sprinted across the room to the guest room and buried my face in the toilet vomiting the contents of my stomach. Like an endless stream, it flew out my mouth in bulk and when the piquant waste had been squished out my guts, I fell back with my back to the cold wall, flushing the water closet. When I had gotten sober, I rinsed my mouth off the stench and headed out to meet only Evans rested on the couch with Taylor nowhere in sight. I poured myself a glass of whiskey and joined him on the couch. "Where is Taylor?" I asked, looking around. "Oh, he is throwing up his bowels in your room upstairs. " "He better not let any of the vomit spill on my well-scrubbed floors," I growled, gritting my teeth. "Relax, would you? You look like something else, are you feeling better?" Evans asked. "Yes, I am. How come you are still able to walk and talk steadily after that hell of a party?" "Well, I didn't drink that much. Just two bottles and that was all, and by the way, don't be deceived by this calmness. I'm a bit tipsy." The sound of a thud upstairs stole our attention. A groan sounded from up and before we could react, Taylor came rolling down the stairs. "Are you okay?" I asked as Evans and I rushed over to his side. "Yeah," he groaned. "I think I hurt my back or something, though." "Goodness Taylor! How many bottles of liquor did you drink, a thousand?" I said as we both helped him up and dragged him to a couch. "He just never knows when to quit, does he?" Evans jeered. Hardly had the words left his lips when something fell in the yard. Being the two most agile, Evans and I jerked up and after securing ourselves with a weapon, advanced to go check it out.
