Chapter 3: In the Parking Lot
I began to hear the distant clicks and in regions of the locker room area lights went off, one by one, beginning with the showers. I dried myself hurriedly, and was just finishing dressing when I heard one of the gym staff coming through. It was dark by then, with only the safety lights on. The shadowy figure paused at the end of my aisle.
“We are closed. Please leave by the main entrance.”
“Sure thing,” I said, stuffing my clothes in my bag.
I left the changing room and turned right in the main hallway towards the front lobby, when something made me stop. I remember Orestes saying something about driving here. I turned, and saw the door at the far end of the hallway. It led to the parking lot.
