Kenzie: The Rejected Orphan

Meet Lola

Kenzie POV

He changed his mind, and now he wanted her, or he did the whole time. She was still confused about everything, and it seemed everything was just going to keep getting more confusing. Now they were taking her ex-mate, or mate she didn't even know. Was he her mate again since he took back the rejection?

"We need to leave as soon as possible. I would like to get where we are going to before the agency realizes we are making a move!" Nathaniel addressed the group.

"How far is the Kingdom? And how are we getting there?" Kenzie already had a good idea how she wanted to get there. Lola hadn't been out in a very long time, and she was itching to stretch her wings.

"I figured that we both could shift to our dragons. Mine is excited to meet his whelp and then these two can each choose one of us and hitch a ride." Nathaniel anwsered and it was the one Kenzie wanted to hear.

The four of them prepared to leave. They had two bookbags packed with their belongings that Tristan and Roberto would carry on their backs and Kenzie and Nathaniel would be carrying them on our backs. It didn't take them long to get ready and in less than ten minutes they were all headed to an opening large enough to shift into their dragons.

"Just up ahead is a large enough clearing. The two of you should be able to shift." Roberto, speaking up.

When they reached the clearing, Kenzie and Nathaniel both started to strip out of their clothes to prepare for the shift. "Who is riding on whom, figure it out among yourself we bathe will lay on our belly after we shift." Kenzie informed Roberto and Tristan while standing naked in front of them. This caused Nathaniel to let out a hiss and shield her body with his own. Kenzi couldn't help but laugh, her dad, how crazy. The pair both shifted. Nathaniel was a black dragon with glowing orange eyes. Kenzi thought he was magnificent and wondered what her father's dragon's name was. She didn't dwell and allowed Lola to come forward. Lola was a rare white dragon, her scales looked like they glittered, and her eyes were emerald green. She was truly beautiful and one of a kind. Lola was the only white dragon that had existed in almost a millennium. Both Lola and Nathaniel's dragon lay on their bellies just like they said. Roberto quickly climbed on his mate, and the tingles were everywhere, and they truly were everything. Tristan found this funny and laughed while getting on top of Nathaniels Dragon.

Roberto linked Tristan. "Did you see how beautiful she is? I have never seen a white dragon before. I am truly this biggest i***t. How can I reject something so magnificent? Wonder what her dragon's name is. I would ask my wolf if he would ever talk to me again."

"He will talk to you again, make it right with his mate and he will forgive you. Make it right with your mate and I will forgive you as well. That was our only issue is your treatment of the goddess' gift. So make it right, and we will be good. And as for her Dragon, she is totally amazing. I have never heard of a white Dragon." Tristan responded.

The ride wasn't only a two-hour trip, but Lola was more than happy to be able to stretch her wings, even more so because she had her mate on her back. She wanted him, but knew he needed to make up for what he did to her human. She had so many things to think about. She wanted to help Kenzie but wasn't sure how. She would go with whatever her human wanted. She had suffered enough, and her happiness is what mattered the most, even if it was just the three girls forever.

"Lola, do you really think he regrets what he did and wants us now?" Kenzie questioned her dragon.

"I think he always wanted us, Kenz. He made a series of bad choices. Not saying he isn't the biggest i***t, but I think that he has always wanted you. We shouldn't forgive him right away, but we should give him a chance. For some reason, the moon goddess thought him to be our other half, so we will try. Does that sound okay, my sweet girl?" Lola answered Kenzie.

"I agree, I want to give him a chance and I want to forgive him. We won't yet, though we will wait and see what he does! I love you Lola, and Luna if you are listening!" Kenzie said to her girls.

The dragon kingdom was straight ahead, and it was a bloody castle. Well, it was very fitting to all the human stories about dragons. They were stopped by an orange dragon, and it seemed Nathaniel was taking care of it because it wasn't long before the orange dragon moved out of their way and allowed them to pass. Once past, Nathaniel started to descend, so Lola followed. And the two allowed their passengers off, first shifted back to their human forms. Roberto was quick to get Kenzie's clothes out so she wasn't naked in front of other men.

"The patrol has alerted the King to our arrival, and he has agreed to meet with us." Nathaniel told the group while he got dressed after his shift.

The four started to make their way to the castle to meet with the King. The patrol led the way. Kenzie was floored at the opulence. It was like gold coated everything. Was any of that really necessary? Why waste so much money on a house? Good thing it wasn't her money, she supposed. She would much rather feed the hungry or something. It took them forever to reach the king's office. Just how big was this place? The patrolmen opened the door for them and gestured for them to enter. As soon as Kenzie entered the office it was like de ja vue.

"Mate!" Lola forced it out of her before she could hold it in. Wait what?

"You are no mate of mine, I am King Drake and you are to lowly for me. You don't even smell like a full dragon. I must be mated to a pure blood!" King Drake looked hatefully towards Kenzie.

"Well than King Drake shall we get on with the rejection than? It won't be my first so I know what to expect get on with it will you? And you are correct I am not a pure blood. I am tribade and Nathaniel's daughter you know the one that came to ask for assitance with the agency. Sorry my pedigree isn't up to snuff for you King!" Kenzie was mad but what good would it do. Seems both her mates, if she could have two didn't want her. She was sick of it all what game was the moon goddess playing.

"Do it your heiness reject me, lets not keep it waiting. There are other things to discuss and you not wanting me is the least of any of my priorites!" Kenzie screamed towards the King.
