Beta Tristan: Training

"Agent 1, my name is Beta Tristan Mcdure. If you would like, I can take your bags and show you to your room for you to settle in. Then, once settled, you can meet with the Alpha." The Beta had a warm smile and was super polite, not her typical first encounter. "No offense, but I will see to my own luggage. If you could just have someone park my car and let me know where it's located, that would be awesome. Also, I would like to meet with your Alpha as soon as possible, so if he is available we can do a luggage drop and then proceed to the Alpha." Kenzie returned the Beta's warm smile. "Well, the Alpha is currently, um...indisposed. So I will show you where you will be staying. I'm not sure when he will be available. He has blocked links but as soon as he is available, I will inform him of your arrival and the need for an immediate meeting." The Beta showed nothing but pure embarrassment when he responded, cheeks an unnatural shade of red. Kenzie was more than amused. Indisposed? The stupid Alpha who asked for assistance was getting his grove on and couldn't bother to even know that she had arrived. She was impressed, and now she is nothing but annoyed. If his pack needed immediate assistance, he shouldn't be able to make time to do what he is doing, or better yet, if he must at least leave the links open! "Well, seeing that your Alpha's s****l appetite is more important than the members and safety of his pack, we will proceed without him. I have today to make an assessment and tomorrow my plan of action will begin. Meaning I don't have time to wait for your alpha to get his rocks off. This assignment is only 45 days, so we will be moving quickly. Show me where to drop my bags, then we can head to wherever it is this pack trains." "Umm...well..umm okay. Training is currently still going on so we can do that, if you could please just follow me." The red-faced Beta was even more red if that were possible. "You mean to tell me that training is in session and neither the Beta nor Alpha are attending? Let's just drop these bags off. I need to begin immediately, it doesn't really matter what the leadership are doing. If need be, I can eradicate the rogue problem myself and retrain your warriors so at least they themselves aren't lacking from poor leadership in the future." Kenzie was more than a little mad, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. She just needed to get through the 45 days, complete her assignment and return home until the next assignment. The Beta didn't answer and just walked ahead. She to remain silent what more could be said, the Alpha was selfish and that was the whole issue. If he would put his pack first, they would probably not have to call her in. They trudged up three flights of steps and her room was the first one to the right. Awesome right next to the steps just the way she preferred, she'd have rather been on the second floor just in case she needed to jump out the window, but she could survive three stories. Her room was twice the size as the one she called home but had a similar setup, well in insanely wealthy fancy fashion. She would be able to get a better look later right now was work time. She threw her bags on the bed and turned to the Beta with a single hand, letting him know to show her the way. "We have an indoor gym for weightlifting and strength training, and an outdoor training facility for grappling and training our wolves. Which would you like to see first?" Beta Tristan asked. "Let's start with the indoor gym. Strength training as well as core training are always the beginning steps in having a strong army. Hopefully, we won't need too much help in the inside gym, but an assessment is still necessary. So please show me the way." The gym was in the basement of the packhouse and it was the entire basement. The equipment was all top-notch and brand new. She was definitely impressed with the facilities. Looking around, she knew she was going to have her work cut out for her. Instead of training, all the warriors were sitting around socializing and doing nothing. Not a single one of them was doing any training at all. They didn't even notice her or the Beta right away. A group of rogues would be able to walk right up to them and slaughter them all without a fuss. What a joke was all Kenzie could think. She decided she was just going to stand there and watch. She wanted to see what the Beta would do, if anything, and just how long it would take for the warriors to notice her presence. She turned to look and see what the Beta would do. He was wearing that ridiculous shade of red again, clearly embarrassed by his warriors. He straightened up and put an ugly mean face on. "What is the meaning of this? Are you not all supposed to be training and, if I recall, for another hour, and then you have to go outside for two?" He let his aura roll out and screamed towards his warriors. If it wasn't such a serious situation you know life and death, it would be comical. They all jumped to attention as if caught in the cookie jar. Quickly, all the warriors went to some piece of equipment and started doing what they should have been doing the whole time. Kenzie wanted to laugh, but that wasn't allowed. Her first and most valuable lesson learned was to never ever show emotion, it would always get you hurt. So she looked on with her most neutral face while giggling like a hyena in her head. This assignment was either going to be awful or amusing she hadn't decided yet. She walked around the gym for the final hour of their training, watching form, looking at what weight each warrior was on. She was always analytical in her assessments and stuck to statistics. Socializing and interaction was not her strong suit, so she stuck to what she knew. From what she saw, they all had the proper form and did each machine correctly. She wasn't impressed with the weight, however. They should each be pushing themselves, but it appeared they were just doing the bare minimum. One can not achieve greatness unless pushed to the absolute limit. The Beta had no further comments throughout the final hour and didn't even really pay attention to any of the warriors. He was scrolling through his cell phone. The hour was up and next was the grappling and wolf training. It was her favorite part of training and, if she was honest, she more than hoped at least one of these bulky men would be a challenge for her. She really needed a good fight to get her blood pumping and some of her frustrations out. She wasn't sure she would find that here she might just have to go on a midnight killing spree looking for rogues. Guess she would see in the next two hours which one it would be! Just when she was getting ready to follow the warriors, the Beta's eyes clouded, indicating he was receiving a link. She decided to wait for him. Hopefully it will be the bloody Alpha. He can't really have that much stamina. "The Alpha will see you now, unless you want me to tell him to wait until after training?" Beta Tristan asked. "Show me the way to your Alpha Beta Tristan. If he is available, I might as well meet him now, he might not be available after training. I also would like to give my assessment on the strength training portion, and I'm guessing my assessment will also follow the outdoor training. So show me the way so we can get this over with." Kenzie turned to follow the Beta, thinking that she would definitely be going out on a midnight rogue m******e later.
