Chapter 12

Nickolas P.O.V

Aaron met me in the hallway so that we could go to Alpha Jason's office, Kora and the baby are leaving with me today. It was clear that no one here cared for them and since she had no ties to the pack nothing was holding her or the baby here. "You ready? You know after everything you told me they wont let her go easy." Aaron says. I nodded. The car was pack with mine and Aaron's belongs for the two days we were here. I left the car at Savannah's so that Kora nd Hope could have their things loaded. I have a feeling I will have go shopping for them. I did talk to my mother though on the phone to explain what was happening. Aaron and I reach the hallway and I spot Kora. She looks like she has seen a ghost, I have a feeling I know who is behind it. "Kora baby are you okay?" I can tell she is scared. This is a lot for her. I can't let her go in the office with me, but she has no way to reach me. "Aaron give me your phone." I mind link Aaron. He nodds and I had Kora the phone. At least with that she can reach me if she needs to. "Alright lets get this over with." I tell Aaron.

I knocked on Alpha Jason's office door, "Come in," Alpha Jason says. Damn is his Beta always up his ass? "What can I do for you Alpha Nickolas?" Jason says pouring himself a whiskey. I'm older than him and I barely drink, I look past it and look at his beta who motions for me to sit down. "I am here to thank you for hosting the training session this morning, but I will be leaving with my Beta as well as Kora and her infant." Alpha Jason chokes on his drink, serves him right. "I'm not not following you, why would you want that beat up w***e?" Jason says causing Blaze to growl in my head. "Well Alpha she is my mate, and you have no use for her so I would like to take what is mine." I hated talking about her like she is property but I had to use his terms. "And you want the baby to? Why?" Jason looks pissed. He motions for his Beta to leave the office and he does. I took a deep breathe and said, "I won't sperate a mother from her child. Besides from my understanding you have no claim to either of them." I can see the anger in his eyes. "They aren't even an offical member of your pack, so they are free to go if they wish." I am a lot older than this fool, yet he thinks he can challenge me. "Would you like me to report their condition to the Royals?" I knew that would shut him up. Alpha Jason growls and throws his glass against the wall and it breaks. "This isn't over!" Alpha Jason says as he storms out. I take that as a win in my book and leave to go find my girls, time to take them home.

Aaron and i walk to Savannah's where the SUV is, I want to let her family know they are welcome to come visit Kora anytime they want. Savannah rushes over and gives me a hug, I was not expecting that. "Thank you, thank you for saving them!" I can see the tears in her eyes. I nodded. Amy walks over and hands me Hope, I have never held an infant before, she is so small. Her eyes are blue like Kora's but her hair is bleach blonde. "Better get used to it, She likes to rocked and held up close." Amy says rubbing Hope's cheek. "She's a good baby, and Kora will teach you everything, you can do it." Amy raches to give me a hug. "Where is Kora? Is she ready?" I ask handing Hope to Savannah so she can get put in the car seat. "I thought she was walking back with you?" Savannah says shuting the car door. "Last time i saw her she was looking for you?" Okay now I am worried. I felt my phone buz in my pocket. It's Aaron's phone. "s**t!" I yell in a panic. Just as I pick up I hear Kora scream, Along with voice I recongize. "Alpha Jason has his f*****g hands on her again! What is it with this damn pack!" i am pissed. I knew the only place to look is his office, Luckily the pack house is close enough I don't need to shift to get there fast enough. "Do you want me boss?" Aaron ask. "No! Stay with Hope and be ready to leave!" I waste no time. I can hear Kora breathing heavily as I reach the door, I don't even bother to knock. "SHOW ME HER EYES!" Jason has a sliver knife at my mate. Clearly they must enjoy beating her. I look at Kora who is to weak to even keep her eyes open. What the hell did they do! Alpha Jason lows the knife, since I am standing between them. Kora is now out cold. No one says anything, I could careless what they needed to say. Poor Kora, her body is so small and I don't want to hurt her when I pick her up. I scoop her up as soft as I can, and leave the office. Kora is never coming back here. Neither is that baby. I mind link Aaron to let him know that I am coming out. Hope is on the pasager side of my SUV asleep in her car seat with a pink blanket around her. I gently side Kora in from the driver side so she laying down in the seat. I wanted to sit with her but its not to long of a drive to my pack, and she needs to sleep. I decided its best due to my anger to let Aaron drive. "Dude are you going to explain what the hell just happened?" Aaron asked with concern. I look at Kora and sigh. "I have no choice, but I will not let another soul hurt her again... or my daughter." i can feel my hands turning white from squeezing them. It will take us at least 6 hours to reach my pack land in Texas so I better start talking...
