Chapter 15

Having the girls right next to my room is comforting, I won't lie and say I haven't had the occasional hook ups because I have but not many. This the first time a women has shared my home though, all my hook ups where done at the pack house in one of the spare rooms that my warriors stay in. You could have I have watched a few Alphas over the years struggle with mates being comfortable when they learn their man has had hooks in the same space they are ment to share. Blaze didn't care for hook ups, in fact he would often block me when I did. I look at my clock and its 6 am, I not really able to sleep in anymore but i took the day off to help my girls get comfortable here. I decided to do a small run on the treadmill since I skipped warrior training today, after about 30 mintues I decided to shower and get ready to see my girls. The thought of waking up to them light up my face, I have waited so long for a mate of my own now I almost don't know what to do exactly. I decided to go casual today with a smiple fited t-shirt, jeans and socks at the moment, I don't like wearing shoes inside. As soon as I walk out of the bathroom I can hear the sweetest, most innocent noise coming from Kora's room. Opening the door as softly as I can just enough to fit though I can see Hope playing with her blanket in her little bed. "Come here little one, let's try not to wake up mommy." I say to her, This little girl has the most beautiful blue eyes, I can see it now male wolfs are going to be the death of me. Kora ia usually not a heavy sleeper but knowing what her life has been like the past 4 years I can imagine this is the best sleep she has gotten. i know how to change a daiper now but I have not clue what to feed a baby.... I decided to mindlink my friend Shelby for some help. "Umm Shell, I need some help at my house... please come now." I tried not to sound to needed but I wanted to show Kora that she is safe and loved here. Shelby is Aaron's mate and they are expecting their first pup so she more of a clue then I do. Aaron found out first that Shelby was his mate, normally we are told not to say anything but he just couldn't help himself and so they have been together for over 3 years but been mated for 1.5 years due to her age. "I'm hear Alpha." Shelby says in the mindlink. I placed my finger over my lips to let Shelby know i need ed her to not squeal when she say Hope, Shelby loves babies. " OMG! Who is the cutiest!!" She takes Hope from me and starts kissing her all over. "Nick where did you get this little ball of sweetness!" She says following me in the kitchen. "Well, she belongs to my mate, I found her at the Blood Moon pack." I say rubbing the back of my head, "She has been through so s**t and honestly I am a bit clueless." I hated saying like that but I don't wanna mess things up. "What can I feed her? I don't wanna make Kora get up yet, she needs sleep." I say. Shelby goes to the bags of stuff and finds a pair of the clean clothes we bought for Hope yesterday. Then she goes to the freezer and finds my stash of mini frozen buttermilk pancakes. "Ahh these will do nicely!" She says taking out about 5 and placing them on a glass plate in the microwave. After realizing that I don't have a highchair yet I decied to get a thick soft blanket and place it on the floor. Shelby bring over the plate of mini pancakes and starts ripping them in to extremely tiny pieces in front of Hope while she sits on the blanket in front of us. I couldn't help but giggle at her little baby smile after she takes her first bite. After afew moment Shelby says "So tell me about her, what do you mean your clueless?" she asking eating her own pancakes. I sign and start taking, "She is beautiful, but she doesn't see it, I caught the beta and the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack both abusing her, The only family she had their said that one of them was the baby's father but she was never tested. Also Kora is the only one left from the Mossy Oak pack, Alpha Brooks was her father." Shelby choked on her water when those words came out of my mouth. "I'm sorry, did you say Alpha Brooks?" She asked after collecting herself. I nodded. "Nick you realize you maybe mated to the only Alpha female that exist!" She shook my shoulders. Alpha Females are rare, in fact the story is that only one may exist at a time but never more than one. Alpha females also have very strong and powerful wolf, she could easily equally my wolf if not almost over power him. "I've never seen her wolf, Kora never shifted at the Blood Moon pack, at least that is what her friend said." I said feeding Hope more pancakes. "Nick if she is the Alpha female than she's in danger being unmated. Alpha's from all over would love nothing more than a pup from her." She says look at the baby. " If this little one was also created by an Alpha then she could also care the gene but she wouldn't make the same wolf as her mother, but having the gene is enough." Shelby looks concerned. "But how do i get her to trust me, I won't force my mark or love on her, not after the hell she has been through." I said rubbing my eyes. "Well start by being honest. She needs to know what danger she could be in, but also be honest and show her how much you love her, don't just say it. Words mesn nothing but actions mean everthing to a women." She says smiling at Hope. "I have known you a long time, I know you are best Alpha, and look your already doing amazing as a father!" She says punching my arm. I don't want to scare her but Shelby is right, if Kora is the Alpha female then she is in danger not being able to shift, protect her self and being unmarked. Until we do the joining cermony and the Luna cermony my abilites to sense her and protect her are limited. But knowing the hell she lived for 4 years at the hands of two very strong wolfs will not make my job as her mate any easier. "Well, I 've gotta get back and Aaron's lazy ass up." She says trying her best to get off the floor, I decided to stand up and help her up. "Thank you, Goddness I love being pregnant but damn is it exhusting." She says trying to catch her breathe. I thanked her for helping me with Hope as I walked to the door, as soon as it's shut I can Kora coming out of the bedroom still only wearing my long t-shirt. Blaze is howling in my head like a horny dog, Will you stop it! I growl at him. Hell no! I've waited to damn long to have a mate to howl over! Blaze grows back, it's a good thing she can't hear him.
