Chapter 16

Kora's P.O.V

I woke up to the sun beaming through the binds, for the first time in 4 years I didn't wake up to the pounding of an alarm clock. It was nice, giving my eyes a few minutes to adjust to the light I realized that I ddidn't hear Hope in the room. Jumping up in alarm i looked to see that she was no longer in the pack and play at the end of the bed. "What the.." I looked around and I was complety alone. I started to panic, I have never not had Hope in my sight or without knowing who she was with. However as soon as I opened the door to walk out of the bedroom I finally heared her sweet little giggle. I could hear Nickolas talking to her. It made me laugh, his impression on baby talk is complety off but it was making my baby laugh so who cares. All of a sudden the erge to pee took over and I made my way to the bathroom. I noticed a new toothbrush still in the package along with some toothpaste. Alpha must have put these out for us, Rain couldn't help but wag her tail. Knowing someone other than ourselves cared about our wellbeing. I wasted no time burshing my teeth even through I was also starving, no one likes morning breathe. Once at the end of the hall I just took a moment to look the scence happening in the kitchen. Hope was in a highchair of some sort attemping to eat pancakes, she is still learning about table food but as much as she put in her mouth most of it went everywhere on Nickolas. I made me laugh, I looked over to see him smiling at her. "Well look at you two, having fun are we?" I couldn't help myself, Nickolas looked so defeated by an infant and covered in pancakes, it was cute. " You looked so peaceful sleeping i didn't want to wake you up." Nickolas said to me brushing off the pancakes from his shirt. I didn't say anything but gave him a smile so he knew I wasn't mad. It was good thing Hope didn't eat much because my boobs where competely full and hurt like hell. I found my way over to the couch which is shaped like a U and sat down to feed Hope. Nickolas said at the other end of the couch not sure what to do or say. "It's okay to look at me, and talk, I'm just feeding the baby." I said, Maybe he is uncomfortable since my boob is out? " I just don't want to make you umm you know." He says rubbing his very messy hair. " You didn't I know its a lot of changes, i don't want you to feel pushed into anything with me," I couldn't look him the eyes, I'm not sure how he feels about me to be honest. Mostly Alpha's want a mate who hasn't been with another wolf but that wasn't the case for me. I started to fix my shirt since Hope was done, on the floor there was a nice soft thick rug that almost competely covered the floor in front of the couch so I sat Hope down in the rug to play with the few toys I had. Before i could get upNickolas came to my side of the couch and took both my hands in his. His touch sent bolts of electricity Though my body, his eyes now glued on mine. His voice started to shake, "I know i am not her birth father, and i share no DNA with her but you Kora and this baby are mine." He said. The way he said "Mine" i couldn't help but blush and smile at the same time. " I have waited for my mate for a long time, I had flings here and there but I know my mate was out there somewhere. " he continued. " No one will hurt you again, i will love and protect you with my life and with my pack." He finished. I could tell her was being truthful and that he meant everything he said. My heart is full of butterflies I couldn't myself instead of getting up I jumped into his lap wrapping my arms around his neck, he hands then moved to my waist sending more bolts of stronger electricity to my body. in that moment I wanted nothing more than to kiss him, I wanted him in everyway possiable. Knowing that Hope and I finally might have the happy everafter we wanted put a big smile on my face, good thing Nickolas couldn't see it since I was still hugging him. "So, what would you like to do today? I know we need to go shopping for some new clothes for you girls." Nick says as I relase my embrace. "Shopping sounds fun, I haven't been shopping since my parents died, I think I forgot how." I say to him turning red in the face, Nickolas hands me a plate with waffles, bacon, and toast. Man I forgot what a real breakfast looks like.
