Chapter 10

Kora's P.O.V

I can't sleep in, I have been able to do that in years, besides Hope is my living alarm clock. 5 AM on the dot and she is ready to eat, I'm definiely sore so moving is a bit of a slow pace. In the bed there is my little ray of happiness snuggled up with her auntie Savannah just looking at me, "shhh I know hold on bug." I say giving her a smile. We both definitely slept better being in a real bed. I always enjoyed sleeping over at Savanna's, her bed is a queen size so we always have plenty of room. Reaching for Hope I hear Savannah talking half asleep. "Kora you should leave Hope here this morning, you cant do everything one handed and hold her all day on your back." Ugh I know she is right, not mention I know two somebodies who are going to pissy that I didn't go home yesterday. "Okay okay but if she gets fussy bring her to me okay." I say as Hope finishes eating. I don't normally use a pump or bottles but it's nice when I can. Hope waste no time getting back in Savannah's warm embrace and starts to fall back asleep, they both just make me smile. I'm very luckly to have a friend like her. No one else is a wake in her house, since the party was last night I didn't expect a lot of movement from anywhere. Checking the clock on the wall I decided to take a quick hot shower, hoping it would wake me up. I like the water to be boiling hot, I think most women do. It feels amzing to wash all that product out of my hair from last night. I wasn't planning on passing out like I did. My left wirst was almost good as new, still a little sore but I could bend it. My right one though still hurt like a b***h. I unwrapped it long enough to wash, the hot water helped someone as long as I didn't use it. The bathroom was so warm from my hot water that I just got dressed in here. I didn't have time to brush my hair but I left it down so it would dry with a good curly look, putting only have up so it was mostly out of my face. Brushed my teeth and then gave Hope one last soft peek on the forehead before leaving for my usually daily task.

Amy was in the kitchen making a pot of coffee for her and Bill.Most likely Bill is getting raedy for the training with the Alphas today, its probably a nice change for him. "Kora honey let me wrap that wirst of yours in a cast before you go, you can't be usung it like your used to yet." Amy says pouring sugar in her coffee cup. "Yes ma'am." I answer. I decided to go to the table in the kitchen and wait for her to finishing her coffee, just then Bill comes out of their room dressed in gym clothes. "Kora here eat something please, this won't take me long okay dear." Amy says with a sweet mother like tone. I decided to take an apple from their fruit bowl, I like fruit. Amy wraps my wrist in a thick hard to bend materal, then she adds a pink color materal over the white and it sticks together. "This can not get wet so leave the dishes to someone else okay." Amy says giving me a smile. I'll do my best but who knows if anyone will listen to that. I decided to reach for a hug from Amy, honestly I didn't realize how bad I needed one. "Alpha Nickolas seems like he really cares about you," She says still hugging me. "He's good for you, give him a chance okay I know your scared but change is good." Amy lets go of my body and reaches for my cheeks, "He was really upset and all he could think about was helping you, let him in don't fight him and remember what I always told you." She says holding my face in her hands. "A real man will only love you, never hurt you." She finally says kissing my forehead. i always looked at Savannah's parents as parents for me since I lost mine. I just nodded and told her that I loved her. I started walking to the pack house when the memories of last night flooeded my mind, Alpha Nickolas was tall, and very handsome. He actually danced with me, me out of everyone in that room last night. The moon Goddness gives everyone in my kind a fated mate, that one person who is your other half, the part you have always been missing. Alpha Nickolas was mine. Since i wasn't sure what his plans where today other than leaving this afternoon i knoew I needed to get my ass busy before I ended up on the punishment list, I'm sure Alpha Nickolas will find me laster or get Savannah to.

I tried my best to sneak into the pack house but I'm caught with a broom to the back of my head, at least it was the brush end and not the handle. "OWW s**t what was that for!" I say before I see who is behind me. The Luna doesn't look happy, god does the women ever take a break or just sleep in for once! "Where the hell did you go last night!" She yells in my face with her finger pointed at me. I hated that finger in my face, "I was there at the party but then I got tired and left, everything was fine I checked everything before I left." I answer rubbing my head where the broom hit me. "Bullshit! You left and so did Jason! Where the hell did you two go!" God she's gonna wake the whole house up with her yelling. "I wasn't with him yesterday or last night, I did my job and went to Savannah's." I know part of that was a lie but its not like I can tell her son beats me for fun. She didn't say anything for a minute, but starts to bark her orders at me, the usuual. Once she left my visual I popped my head in the kitchen to help where I could. I couldn't wash the dishes so I decided to cut up the fruit for the buffet and make two gallons of sweat tea for the warriors. I wonfer if Alpha Nickola will come down for breakfast after the morning training session. I wipped down all the tables and set out the plates, forks, spoons, knives and nappkins. The reast was all hot stuff and wasn't ready to placed out yet. The Luna always went extra fancy when we hosted other packs, trying to change the way our pack is seen by others. I shouldn't even say "we," I was never actually joined to this pack in a joining cermony which why I can't mind like with anyone here. Joining a pack was the Alphas job to do and it was a choice. I looked at the clock on the wall and the time is 6 am, now a lot of movement would be happing not just in the pack house but the guest housing as well. Training starts at 6:30 am here, I looked at my list, laundry awesome, my favorite. I hated almost everything I had to do. But laundry was definitely at the top.

I went around to the Beta's end first and collected Brent's laundry along with his parents. His parents always felt bad with me doing their laundry so they tried to make it easy on me. Brent however just had his clothes all over... I had to actually walk all in his room, closet, and bathroom to collect it all. I knocked and he barely opened his eyes at me. Hey he could lay there all he wanted, waking him up was not my job. Next was the Alpha end. Alpha Dean and his wife had seperate baskets, it was mostly gathered up for me so I never had to spend a lot time in their room. Jason however is a lot like Brent, lazy and sloppy. I knocked on his door and ther was no answer, however unlike Brent I actually had to wake Jason up. great, get ready for the hungover Jason, Rains says rolling her eyes. Maybe he won't try anything this early wuth us, I say to Rain but she lets out a low growl. i started knocking on his door, waited a bout a minute before I walked in and what I saw was not surpising at all. Jason was competely naked on his bed with some random girl on his arms struggling to wake up. "Jason it's time to get up, your mom demanded you lead the training today." I say while collection his dity laundry. He hasn't moved. I know The Lun will beat me if her son isn't up and down stairs, but I also know the only way to wake him up is not going to be in my favor either. Unfortunately the only way to get his hungover as up is with water.. cold water. I went and got a cup out of the kitchen and filled it to the rim with cold water. Man I am going pay for this, I took a deeep breathe and started slowly pouring the water on his head. It would be a lie if I said I didn't enjoy that just a little. "SON OF A b***h!" Jason yells jumping almost out of his own skin. "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU KORA!" Jason is strugging to find a dray pair of boxers on his floor since I already collected all his dity laundry, the girl next to him is in the corner trying to put her clothes back on in a hurry, no one likes Jason when he is pissed. "Your mom said to get you up by that ever means needed so now your up my job is done." Jason looks at me while I'm trying to walk out the bedroom door. Unfortunately I'm not fast enough and Jason grabs my hair. "GET OUT!" Jason yells to the girl he spent the night with. Jason slams the door shut and then looks at me, "What's the matter? You don't wanna play some before I have to be all serious?" Man he reeks of beer and cheap hair products. "No Jason I have to much to do, now let me go unless you want to get caught again." All I can do is look at him, he knows I don't threaten him, and he knows I won't bring my wolf forward to him so what else do I have besised my mouth? nothing. Jason has me in his grip and I have nothing to get him to let me loose, f**k someone come through that door please! Jason takes his left hand and explores my body while hold my head in his arm of his right hand. Man he is sick! Then he starts smelling my hair, my clean wet hair or at least it was until he messed with it. Jason has now felt all over my body like he owns me, gross I need another shower now. He reaches on his dresser for something and I can't see what it is but he holds it behind his back. After inhaling my scent he puts the object at my lower abdomen, SON OF A b***h! Rain yells in my mind. The same silver blade he used to stab me when I was 16 years old is in his hand. Jason light pushes it againist my skin, "Remeber this, I can stab you again just like before."Jason says pressing his face in my neck. I did nothing, I knew if I tried to fight him what would happen. "Oh Kora, Kora, Kora, as much as I would love to tear that body of us up unfortunately I have some work to do." Jason says stil feeling me up, the thought of him touching me makes me want to vomit. After another inhall of my scent he lets go of me. "Out, I'll find you later when I have time to play." Jason says with a sick smile. I can only hope I'm in the same car that alpha Nickolas came in and away from here by then with my daughter.

After taking some time to collect myself I take Jasons clothes down to the basement and started the three washers the pack as at once. I just slid to the ground with my back against the wall, I needed a minute to cry, I needed a good loud, alone cry. The memory of when Jason stabbing me was all I could see. Being a werewolf meant that yes we are just about unstoppable, and nothing that can kill a human can kill us but anything silver could. At the time when Jason stabbed me I had not fully gained my wolf and so anything done to my body was permanent and he knew that. I put my hand on my side where the scar is and cried a lottle more. Jason is truly a sick monster who loved to hurt others just to feel powerful. Now is the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, he is going to be come one of the most dangerous Alphas..

I picked myelf up from the floor, wipped my face and took a deep breathe. I was almost to the cafeteria when I saw Savannah holding my happy baby in her arms and talking to Alpha Nickolas. Neither of them saw me though. I tried to walk around them without being seen but I feel Alpha Nickolas gently grab my hand in the hallways between the kitchen and cafeteria. Once my eyes were locked on his I couldn't stop the tears, its like a flood gate was opened and I couldn't lock it back, not without help. "Shh Kora its okay, did someone hurt you?" He asked holding me close to his chest, man he smelled so good! "I'm taking you both away from her for good, this afternoon I promise." He says holding my face in his hands. Alpha Nickolas hands me a cell phone, I haven't had one in so long I was sure how to use this one. "When I cal it answer, that way you will know when it's time to leave, and if anyone of them come near you again you push the number 2, thats my number on speed dial. I just need to go get cleaned up and then meet with the Alpha over some pack stuff then we can leave okay." Alpha Nickolas kissed my forehead so sodtly before walking away. He was taking us away from here, a smile came across my face. We were finally going to be free. I held on to that phone as if my life depended on it, well it kinda did.
