Chapter 5

Nickolas's P.O.V

"Man you drive way to damn fast!" Aaron likes to complain to much sometimes. Often i like to ask myself why I decided to make him my Beta with how much he belly aches about work. i would let him drive however, the last time he did the trip took way longer than it should have. "Well I tried to back out of this but father demanded i make an apperance so here we are." I shurgged. Most packs hate and I mean HATE the Blood Moon pack. No one likes to be around a group of murders, especially me, however father would not get off my back about how I am an Alpha of our pack with no Luna at my age. Damn I'm only 23 years old so whats the big deal? I would sleep with girls only when i need to get my s****l needs out but thats it. My wolf Blaze hates it, he wants to save us for our mate but hell when will that actually happen. Aaron met his mate about a year ago at a cermony just like this. They make me sick with all their lovey dovy crap. The Blood Moon Pack is in the middle of the swamp in Louisiana. Supposedly The new soon to be Alpha Jason is going to be expanding the pack to new land they gained in the last few years. Jason is just as much of a asshole his father is so the sooner this cermony is over the faster I can return home. "Man it would be nice for you find your mate already, your like of s*x is killing everyone lately." Aaron says laughing. "You've been at bit of a hard ass to everyone including me!" he teases. "Well if you would actually show up on time to train I wouldn't be so mean." I say giving him the mean stare. "I can't help it okay! What my mate wants she gets." Aaron shurgs. I couldn't 100% blame him, its normal for us to have s*x a lot with our mates. "Well see, I haven't found her yet I'm starting think she isn't really." Man I sound depressing.

As well get closer to the gate of the Blood Moon pack Blaze starts doing circles in my head, he has never been a pacer before. What is up with you? I ask in a questioning tone. I....I don't know I sense something. Blaze is normal a calm level headed wolf, unless something or someone pisses him off. Like what? Good or Bad? I ask this time in a more curious tone. But Blaze goes silent. The Beta greets us at the guest house on the land. Their actual pack house is rather small so they bulit a second two story condo like building for guest. "Welcome Alpha Nickolas, Beta Aaron, Its nice to see you both!" Brent is the future Beta of the pack along with Jason. My guess is that he wants to see what packs decided to attend the cermony for his future Alpha. Walking inside and its rather busy, lots of foot traffic and smells. Aaron walks up to the lady at the front desk to check us into our rooms. I've heard that this pack likes to put on a pretty face when they need to, could have fooled me, at least with this building anyways. Aaron comes back with two sets of key cards. Our rooms are on the top floor, mine is 320 and Aaron is in room 321. while in the elevator we decided to meet in front of the door in one hour. I needed a shower after being in the car, it was a good way to get me relaxed after a six hour drive. My pack is in Texas, about 15 minutes from Austin. I'm not much of a city person but running a tech company means being close to the city. The room is pretty basic but it has a king size bed and a desk with a lamp. The shower is basic but it has both a tub and a shower, double sinks and clean white towels on a shelf above the toilet. I planning on being here for two days. One for the Cermony and then the second to join the combined training, the combined training exercise is a good time to see how other packs are doing with the skills and warriors. I decided not to bring any warriors with me so Aaron and myself would attend training.

Forty five minutes Aaron is knocking on the door. I decide to wear a black button up long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and my nicer boots. I brushed my hair just enough to get the messy look under control, I didn't have to much since it was shorter than most men have. "Alright lets do this and be done." I say to Aaron who is more than excited to get a beer, the man loves his beer, he's a beer snob. Aaron is wearing a tight fited green short sleeve tee-shirt, blue jeans and boots. After reaching the bottom floor we follow the rest of the traffic outside torwards the main pack house. Its a smaller one then the one I have but big enough to host guest in the cermony space and dinning area which was turned into a celebrstion space in the next room. Whoever put this togther did an amazing job. The pack colors flowed flawlessly and the space was designed perfectly to give everyone a clear view of the stage. The lighting was dimed perfectly, not over powering but not pitch black either. Aaron and i sit towards the back in the middle of the room. Aaron was dying to get a drink and food, the man is always eating. Other people start filing into the room to get their seats, I noticed a blonde girl, she looks about 18 years old, she is cute and seems really excited about tonights events. Next to her is a slightly taller girl about the same age. Oh my! oh my! oh my! Blaze is going 100 mph in my head, Her hair is braided and pinned up with a bun in the middle at the bottom. Her dress is a floor length fited black dress, I noticed she is wearing a small infant who is asleep with a large pick bow in her head. Poor baby head was smaller than the bow, I catch her scent and it fills my nose. A mix of fresh lavander and baby powder, the smell is so inoxicating and addicting. I needed more of it like a drug, what is wrong with me? Aaron catches me eyeing this girl, "Hello! earth to Nick," he teases. I still haven't turned in his direction. Blaze is screaming MATE! She is our mate! Go to her! It is killing me right now, I don't think she has noticed me yet, since she is still chatting with th blonde. My eyes follow her as she walks around the room, she stops to talk to other members in the room. I wonder if she put all this together? "That must be the party planner, she has good taste." Aaron says looking at the same women I have been stalking with my eyes. A few minutes I manage to see that she is indeed the one who put all this together after watching her talk with the kiychen staff.

She swayed so gracefully while talking, my guess is the the movement kept the infant asleep. Who di dthe infant belong to? I noticed she has no mark on her, which how could she seeing as how I haven't left mine on her. Aaron kept watching my eyes and eventually mindlink me during the cermony. "Dude your going to burn hole sinher dress, whats up with you?" he asked. "She's my mate, I cant tak emy eyes of her." Truth be told I didn't want to. Her eyes are big and blue, her body shape is perfect. I noitced a few smiles coming from her causing my heart to skip a beat or two. She is beyond beautful and all mine. After being in the same room for thrity minutes she finally slow turns in my direction, almost like in slow motion. I watched her take a deep breathe before our eyes meet. in that moment it felt like she and I were the only ones in the room. Goddness she was so sexy and perfect, blaze couldn't stop jumping in my head, it was a workout trying to contain him. Her eyes locked on to mine, she gives me a small smile that only I noticed. She knows! She knows! Oh now Blaze was really going. The elder finished his opening speech and both Alpha Dean and his Son Jason walk to the center of the stage, I could careless what was happening. I noticed my mate looking at the clock on the wall, before walking in my dirction. She had a look of stress on her face. I wante dto go up to her but i knew better during an Alpha cermony so I just watched her. As she is walking i noticed the Beta grabbing her arm with force. Blaze is growling in my head, calm down, I tell him. He didn't like the way the Beta was pulling our mate into the hallway behind me. Aaron taps my arm, giving me look to try not be noticeable when I get up. I nod and wait a few mintues before walking in that direction.

"What the hell are you smiling at huh!" The beta demands with his hand still on her arm. "I didn't smile at anything!" She tells him but I know that is a lie. "You where looking at someone weren't you!" he yanks her arm and sqeezes harder, I know thats going to leave a small burise on her. "Let go! You don't own me, neither does Jason!" She tells him. "Listen here you little b***h! You are not to look at anyone! If I see it again you will regret it! you got it!" The Beta yells but not to loud, neither of them can sense me standing in the doorway. I can see tears start to fall down her cheeks, oh how I would anything to get between them and protect her. "Excue me, are you spying?" The same little blonde is right behind me, she is a sneaky one. "What? No i am just um.. " What i am doing? I never studder! "Well I'd wait to actually approach her, trust me." The Blonde says with a smile. "I know your her mate, Kora mindlinked me the moment she locked eyes with you." Dang I couldn't hold back from smiling just a bit. "I'll motion you when you can okay, trust me." She says walking past me in the doorway. "Brent don't you have Beta duties now that Jason is Alpha?" She smriks getting between them. "Savannah haven't I told you before not to get in my way?" Beta Brent says but he doesn't lay a hand on her. "You can't hurt me so i don't give a s**t, go away!" Savvanh tells pulling the small infant from Kora. Kora, thats a beautful name, and different. I decided to go sit back down now that Savannah was with Kora. Aaron ask me what happened but I plan on telling him later tonight. Kora and Savannah never returned until after we have al moved to the party end of the night, Kora hands her infant to an older couple that look like Savannah. Kora kisses her infant, the motion makes my heart smile. Savannah leads Kora to the back end of the room almost away from certain eyes and motions to me. Standing up I take a deep breathe and manage my way through the crowed of dancers ant talkers. Savannah lets go of Kora's hand and walks away, "Hello, My name is Nickolas. " I say kissing her hand. God her skin is soft. "Hello, i am Kora." she says blushing. "Would you dance with me?" I ask her but I can see her scanning the room for Brent in a panic. " Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you." I say slowing pulling her to the dance floor, she doesn't fight it.
