Chapter 2

Tasha, she remembered her. She was her lover, she was the one that told her that wolves are supposed to be running in the wild. ''Though i have a gossip, Natalia is being a b***h again.'' Ebony pouted making Sky giggle. ''Did she accused you of stealing Mr. Jaime Oxtonford again?'' She asked taking a bite of the cold hard meat. ''It's lord Jaime Oxtonford to you and to me missy. He is the son of the Duke of Oxtonford you know, he pays large gold.'' Sky only nods her head. ''But he is weird. He likes weird stuff.'' She could see how Ebony cringe at the very thought of that man and his weird stuff. ''What is it feel like? Lying with a man? How does it feel like lying in a bed?'' Sky asked with curiosity, he blue eyes seems to engulf Ebony with warmth. Ebony's eyes soften. ''It feels good to sleep with the person you love. And it is the same feeling as laying in a soft bed.'' Sky's eyes brighten. ''Have you found your mate?'' Ebony suddenly look away, she quickly stands up. ''I must go now. The brothel will open soon. See you tomorrow.'' Sky only nodded and watched Ebony left. She started to hear the noises of drunk men and the weird sound that women and men alike made. What are they doing? She often ask herself that, none of the girls bothered to answer her questions whenever she asked, and Madam Juanita always told her that she'd find out soon what it was.

''Is she in there?'' A new voice. Sky heard a new voice, it was deep and very manly. ''Yes my lord, I’ve taken care of her. Come see her.'' It's Madam Juanita's voice. She heard footstep and then soon Madam Juanita came into view, behind her was a man wearing what it looks like to be a heavy cloth, the man came nearer to her cage.

''How long have she been here?'' The man asked examining her old rusty cage.

''About 8 years my lord, she only comes out of it when she's going to clean herself.'' Madam Juanita explained. The man nodded. He then stops in front of her and crouched down.

''The cage is built just about her height, yes?'' The man said, Sky had noticed his fangs, he is a vampire, just like Madam Juanita.

''Yes my lord.'' Madam Juanita Answered.

''Come here girl, let me take a good look at you.'' Slowly, Sky moved forward closer to the man, and when the light of the candle had shown her features, the man stood in shock.

''My lord? Is everything alright?'' Madam Juanita asked. The man stood there for a moment his brown eyes staring a back at Sky as if he knows her. And then when he recovered from his shock, he cleared his throat and crouched down again, he then got something from a small bag that was hanging from his side. From it came a small brown object.

''Here, eat this.'' He said giving it to her, she smelled it at first. It was weird, it smells sweet, but when she put it in her mouth a sudden taste of something exploded in her mouth. So this what sweets taste like. She thought.

''What's your name?'' He asked. Sky first looked at Madam Juanita who only nodded before she spoke her name.

''I am Sky, my lord.'' The man nodded.

''And I am Dave Borington. You can call me sir Borington.'' He said giving her a gentle smile. At that moment, Sky had already liked him. He then faced Madam Juanita.

''I'll buy her. But i want you to be the one to offer her to the Queen.'' He handed Madam Juanita a large pocket of gold coins.

''Offer her as a concubine, and when she asked who gave her to you. Tell her that the lord of Waevelor sent her as a gift.'' Madam Juanita nodded, sir Borington gave one last glance before he left

#Chapter3

'Sky, hey!'' Sky blinked open her eyes when she heard Ebony's voice calling for her, she slowly sat up and stared at her friend. Ebony was smiling and she had her cell door open. ''Come on. You still need to get ready.'' Ebony was smiling like she always do who whenever she was talking to Sky, but those smile hadn't reached her eyes. ''What for?'' Ebony went inside her cage and crouched down, she held Sky's hands and kissed it. ''You'll find out.'' Slowly the two of them stands up again. Ebony led her out of her cage and brought her to the bathing room. There Ebony helped her to clean herself. Ebony then put something on hair that bubbles, Sky giggled when she saw it. After that Ebony dried her body before guiding her in front of a large mirror. Sky stared at herself in the mirror. Her body is skinny but not that skinny, her breast were small, unlike Ebony who were big. ''Quit staring at my breast Sky.'' Ebony said, she was now brushing Sky's hair, her long white straight hair stops just above her waist, Ebony once suggested that maybe they should cut Sky's hair but Madam Juanita insisted that it must stay long.'' Where are we going?'' Sky finally asked, Ebony then helped her get dressed it was a white cropped tube top that reveals her midriff and navel with a sewn in-of the shoulder strap match with a puffy pants with V shaped waist line. ''This outfit came from the middle east. It resemble a woman in harem.'' Ebony explained. She started to braid Sky's hair. And then Ebony showed Sky something that made Sky's eyes brighten. ''This is what you called a flower, i don't know what it is flower it is, but we will be using it as a design for your hair.'' Ebony then started placing the flowers on her head. She looks like a fairy now. Not a wolf in a cage. ''C'mon. Time is almost up.'' Sky stands up and follow Ebony, but before she steps outside the room, she look back at the cage again.

Was it freedom? Or it was just another form of being held captive? ''Sky?'' With a deep breath Sky steps outside the room. And for the first time she had seen the brothel. It was beautiful, you wouldn't even thought of it as a brothel. It looks like a decent home. "Well who would have thought that you would look this beautiful?" Madam Juanita said, examining Sky's face. "You are beautiful, i would have wanted you as my daughter if you weren't a damned dog." Sky wince at Madam Juanita's harsh word.

"Now get inside the carriage I’ll meet you there." Sky nodded. Ebony guided her out the door. And when she steps inside the first thing she did is to look up at the sky hoping it was the color of blue and white that Ebony had told her about, but instead she saw grey clouds and not even the hint of blue could be seen, looking down she noticed that she's stepping on something white and cold, when she look around the village look somber, and dead. No people could be seen outside. "It's winter. You'll have to wait 8 months before you could see the sun and the blue sky." Ebony said, opening the carriage's door for Sky. It is the beginning of the long winter in the West. Sky was about to get inside the carriage when Ebony grabbed her hand and kissed her palm. "Never forget. Never forget that the spirit of the wolf should belong to the wild, never forget that wolves are not meant to be chained nor caged, never forget that wolves were once glorious. Never forget who you really are Skyler." Sky's eye widened upon hearing her whole name. That's right. She is Skyler a wolf meant to be freed. "Never forget me." Ebony kissed her forehead before she ushered her inside the carriage, Sky watched Ebony turned back and went inside the Brothel again. Sky was once again left alone. She's alone again. "You are very lucky." Sky was startled when Madam Juanita came inside the carriage wearing a red gown. "No, between the two of us i'm the most lucky." Madam Juanita said again looking outside the carriage.

"And i never regret wasting my damn penny on you that day, 8 years ago. Who would thought that the failure and weak, is the one who's going to cause me fortune." Sky stared at Madam Juanita. The whole time she spoke she didn't even glance at Sky, she was just smiling. "I remember you when you were little. You're shaking like a wet puppy in one of the corner of the breeding house. Badly beaten and malnourished. If i didn't came early the men would have r***d you." Sky winced again. She still remembers that day. She and her sister was supposed to escape back then, but she was caught in a trap. The men beat her almost to death to teach her a lesson. A lesson that left a deep scar on her.

"You...you behave there. Follow the Queen's command and never ever say no to her wishes. Because if she returned you to me. I won't hesitate to throw you in the breeding house." Sky nodded her head. She's afraid of the breeding house, hell everyone is afraid of it. It is after all a hell for the living. Sky suddenly straighten up when she suddenly heard noises, she looked outside to see what the noise was all about and she was startled to see many royal vampires. It actually scared her. "Madam, Lord Borington is waiting for you." A guard said. Madam Juanita then opens the door of the carriage and ushered her out. They walked together and they were being escorted by guards inside a large house. It was so large that Sky knew that everyone could fit in. They also went up to large stares and then she saw a lot of large door. But her sight-seeing was soon ended when they entered a room. "My lord." Madam Juanita bowed in respect to the man that was in the shadows of the room. Sky did the same. She waited for the man to show up. And when she finally saw him, relief flooded her senses. It was the nice sir who gave her the sweet thing she had eaten.

"Hello, we've meet again." He said walking closer to them. "She looks beautiful." Sir Borington said to Madam Juanita giving her another bag filled with coins. "That would be doubled if the queen accepts her." He said turning his back from them. He then picked a bowl of something. "Could you leave us for a minute?" He asked Madam Juanita who only nodded. When she left sir Borington gave Sky another of those sweet brown round food that he first gave her back then. She eagerly eat it. "Do you know what that is?" He asked. "No Sir." Sky answered. "That is what you called chocolate. Do you like it." Sky nodded and then again sir Borington gave her another chocolate. "How old are you Sky?" She stared at sir Borington for a second before she spoke. "I just turned 18 sir." She said, sir Borington's gentle eyes then turned somber. "You are still very young. Have you shifted yet?" Sky bit her lower lip and shakes her head no. She still hasn't shifted. Ebony told her that maybe because she was an omega. Omega's are often late to shift. An Alpha cub started shifting at the age of 12 and the Beta's and other normal wolves shifted at the age of 17 or 18 and an omega. Sometimes they started shifting at the age of 20 or 27 and some....some weren't given a chance to transform at all.

"I see...Anyways that thing you ate is sweet yes? But sometimes it can be a poison. You see. If the queen accepted you, you'll start to live here. And in this place not all people can be trusted. You need to live Sky, you need to survive here if you wanted your freedom. So i want you to be careful. Do you understand me?" Sky stared at sir Borington. "Yes sir." She doesn't understand why is this man being nice to her. Wasn't he supposed to treat her like how Madam Juanita treated her. But she doesn't wanna think about it. What really made her think is that... How did he know that she wanted freedom?
