"What's happening here?" Caspian stepped forward to support Emre, who seemed just as bewildered as I was. My dad glared at Emre, while Kit's mother held her tightly, soothing her with gentle pats on the back. Her demeanor shifted when she noticed Caspian intervening in the confusion.
"This mate of hers threw himself on my daughter," Mrs. Browning exclaimed loudly, peering into my soul from a distance. I immediately shook my head, not believing her.
"That's impossible," I whispered, struggling with the pain in my body. I felt weak and dizzy, unsure of how I would defend Emre.
"I saw it. Your mate was all over her," she accused Emre, who shook his head continuously, glancing between us.
"That's a false accusation," Emre shouted in his defense.
