The two days I spent in the hospital felt like an eternity. Every minute seemed to drag on, and the boredom and restlessness grew with each passing second.
The doctors monitored me constantly, checking my vital signs, and the pain medication, though effective, left me with a drowsy sensation that seemed never to fade.
But despite the exhaustion, the pain persisted. It was as if every cut, every wound, was there to remind me that I had survived by a thread.
Kieran was by my side most of the time, only leaving briefly to handle some matters he insisted on not telling me about. Whenever I woke up, he was there, reading a book or simply watching me with those intense, protective eyes.
His presence gave me the security I needed to face each day. And in the moments when he
