Well hell. Imagine this... The sky is dark and cloudy, filled with a rain that's crashes on puddled pavements. The very air is filled with a thunder storm about to break. A body lays by your feet. Blood spewing in spirals around pale flesh, "We have to go. Scarlett!" A hand pulls at your sholders, but you don't even notice. The only thing your eyes can see is the body collasped before you, "The place is about to blow!" "My dad is dead." I whisper, "And I didn't even get to say goodbye." "We. Have. To. Run." His hands are strong on my sholders. Heaving me from the cold pavements. I move without thought, keeping my eyes on the body of the man who had gave me everything in life, "I can't just leave him there." I whisper, "You're not. I am." Without hesitation, I'm lifted from the floor and thrown over strong sholders. Pain slices my stomach and I cry out in pain. A bullet is lodged somewhere in my flesh, "I've been shot." I whisper, "Me too." He says, then he runs. The cold air slaps onto on my cheeks, rain splattering down on my flushed skin. I keep my eyes on the lifeless body that we leave behind, feeling like I've left part of myself behind. The ground rumbles through the floor, "Is that an earthquake?" I whisper not really caring if it was. I feel dead inside, "No, there was explosives set on a timer. I guess dad really wanted to finish us off this time." "Wait!" I scream. My heart has stopped. I wiggle in his grip, claw my way out of iron hands, "We don't have time..." "Where's Clay?!" I snap, "Scarlett..." "We have to go back. If it's about to blow, what if he's in the there?" I can't belive it took me this long to reliase the wrong brother had been carrying me away. Flynn stares at me with green eyes, "He's not in the building. I saw him get out." He gently places me down by the side of the road, "Then where, where did he go? He wouldn't leave me." I begin to walk back but Flynn grabs my arm, "We. Can't. Go. Back. We have to keep moving, get to the hospital." "But Clay..." "He'll be fine. It'll be fine. Let's get ourselves patched up first yeah?" "Flynn. We can't just leave him." I beg him, tears forming on my eyes. First my mum, then my dad and now Clay. Would everyone I love be taken away from me? "We have to. At least for now. He'll be ok." "Where is he?" I ask, dread pooling in my stomach, "Scarlett..." "Where?!" I shout. I already know the answer but I have to hear it, "Dad took him. My Dad took Clay." Ah hell.
