Chapter 5 :: The Ball

*Annabelle POV*

Today is the day of the ball. I spent the night in the treehouse with Stephanie. We were up all night and she could not talking about it.

She is soooo excited. She is 16 also so she will be able to sense her mate as well.

After everything I just went through I am not as excited as she is.

This morning, we both head our separate ways to home to get ready for the 4 hour journey to the Blue Moon pack. I was hoping I made it home after my parents left but hope is never on my side.

As I open the front door my mother is standing there waiting for me with her hands on her hip.

“And where have you been all night?”

“I was in the treehouse with Stephanie.”

“Why? You know you are only allowed home and school. We missed dinner. And you wasn’t here to fix breakfast” *SLAP*

“Now I have to go to work hungry. Get your a** upstairs and get it together.”

She follows me up the stairs and as I go to close my bedroom door she puts her foot in the way.

“And don’t slam no doors in my house, MUT!”

I roll my eyes in my head. I wasn’t even going to slam the door. I head to the bathroom to start my morning routine and get ready for the journey to the ball.

After I put my clothes on for the day, I head downstairs. Luckily my parents have left for the pack house.

I head out the door towards Stephanie house. Midway there I walk past Jacob. The look on his face is like he is disgusted. I just keep walking. I remember what the Moon Goddess said… “you are destined for greatness and he could not be there for that.”

I make it to Stephanie house and she comes bouncing and excited down the front porch. She has 2 garment bags. One for my dress and one for her dress. She also has a duffel bag. I’m assuming our shoes and other accessories are in there.

Stephanie parents bought her a car for her birthday so she will be driving us.

We hop in the car and make our way to the Blue Moon pack.

The ride there we talk, we sing, and we dance.

We pull up to the gates of entry. Security stops us and ask for our passes. Stephanie hands him 2 passes and explain we are there for the ball. The security guard directs us to the guest pack house for us to relax until it is time to get ready. He also gives us each a paper with our room information on it.

Since we will be staying here for the elite training we get assigned one of the more prestigious rooms.

We examined the papers to notice our rooms are right across the hall from each other. We both squeal since we our rooms are close together.

We make it to the guest pack house and head to our rooms. We decided to check out my room first. As I open the door with the key fob the security guard gave me. I am met with the most luxurious room EVER!

The room is a lavender theme. A nice king sized bed sits in the middle of the room with a nightstand on each side. On the nightstands there is these gold lamps. The window provides a lot of natural light.

On the right side of the room there are 2 doors. We open one and it is a walk in closet. It’s as big as my bedroom was at home. So much room and storage room. We back out the closet to go into the bathroom.

A beautiful claw foot tub sits in the middle of the room. A his and hers counter sits on right side while the shower and toilet sits on the left.

This room is AMAZING. I can’t believe I will be staying here. “EEEEEEE” .

I was admiring the room so much I forgot Stephanie was here. I turn around to see why she was squealing and she was stretched out in the claw foot tub.

“There is so much room in just the tub alone. This room is amazing!!!! Let’s go check out mine”

After making sure I had my key fob and closing my bedroom door we head towards hers. When she opens the door. Our eyes get big as saucers. Her’s is the same just a royalty purple instead!!!!

“EEEEEEE THIS IS AMAZING” we both squeal at the same time.
