Leon had shown us to my old room, leaving us to rest for the rest of the day. We were exhausted, and barely took off our weapons and clothes before collapsing on the bed. The excitement of the day, mixed with the drain on both of us, caused us to rest all night, and the whole next day as well. We awoke on the day after that, both of us feeling refreshed after having the long sleep we desperately needed for months. Truthfully, the moment Jem and I realized what we felt for each other was love, we were restless. Either restless in each other's heated embraces, or restless in worries over our future, but now, we were finally certain everything was going to be alright.
