After paying the bill, they went out. Beatty said with a playful face, "Who is this tie for? Is it for your boyfriend?"
Jane was suddenly speechless at the girl's ramblings and gave her an angry look. "Do not talk nonsense. It's only a friend."
Beatty, of course, did not believe her words. "Give a tie to a friend? Your relationship is not simple."
"We are just common friends. He helped a lot, and it is for his birthday; I can't afford an more expensive one." Jane explained in case Beatty would misunderstand something.
"Well, I believe you."
"By the way, you just bought the tie? Why don't you buy yourself something as well?" Beatty said as she had bought a lot things for herself while Jane on the opposite got nothing for herself.
