Chima's quest for self-discovery had begun to take root, and with each passing year, the orphanage became more of a temporary shelter than a home. He felt a growing urgency to uncover the mysteries of his past, to answer the question that had haunted him since infancy: why had he been abandoned?

As he approached the age of fifteen, he decided to leave the orphanage and venture into the world beyond its gates. He was no longer content with the confines of institutional life. He longed for the open air, the freedom to explore, and the opportunity to find his true family.

With a small, tattered bag containing his few belongings and a photograph of the orphanage as his only memento, he set out on his journey into the unknown. He had no leads, no clues about his family's whereabouts, and yet he was determined to find them.

Life on the streets of the town was unforgiving. He became a part of the vast community of street children, each with their own story of hardship. They quickly taught him the unwritten rules of survival: how to find food in dumpsters, where to seek shelter from the unforgiving weather, and how to avoid the dangers that lurked in the shadows.

The camaraderie Chima had shared with his friends in the orphanage was replaced by a new form of companionship. He formed a new family among these fellow street children, a family bound not by blood but by the shared struggle of life on the streets. They became his protectors, allies, and friends, teaching him how to navigate the harsh realities of the streets.

He had to confront not only the challenges of homelessness but also the gnawing sense of abandonment that continued to haunt him. The memories of the orphanage, the laughter and tears he had shared with Emeka and Nneka, were never far from his thoughts.

As the days turned into weeks and then months, Chima began to form a new plan. He couldn't let his past define his future. With the help of his newfound friends, he decided to search for clues that might lead him to his birth family. His quest for answers was gaining momentum, and the town held the key to unlocking the secrets of his past.
