Another day has come when Henry woke up by the help of the sun light, he came home pretty late but still manage to do some review for the day], the big day as they called it yesterday night although after everything that has happened last night, yesterday could also be treat as a big day for his personal life that is. He could not afford to dwell on what happened last night as he is such a professional person after what happened in his life, he has treated everything related to his profession the real deal, the only thing important thing in front of him and today that is his patient, whom he only remembered have the same condition as Irene. And now, he is just thankful that he is capable enough to give the treatment a doctor in the past could not give to the most important girl in his life. After looking around his house, just like the usual thing he does every time he goes out, he only realized how accordingly going his life right now, leaving him no worries in any slightly silly things. “I guess, it is really the right time.” He said before closing his door. Right time to finally deal with that unfinished business in his past, the thing he thought is all over now, not until her brother’s came to him face to face. He knew it already that it is not the over, because he knows one day he will find himself once again and will search for her when he could stand on his own as he tried to plead his father to help him to find Irene but he did not telling him “You could just find someone else my son, nothing will never be the same between you two and I am sure one of you will suffer, and being a man myself, believe me you will choose to suffer yourself instead to see her suffer.” And he knew his father never been a liar, a cunning man and that is why he trust his words and gone through his life he worked for their company at first but just a normal employee, earning the same amount just like others and got the chance to support himself in studying what he wanted, arriving where he is right now though has never been planned. Him being a neurologist is just purely coincidence, or it is better to say that he did not knew that her consciousness at the very back of his brain is still not over her and unconsciously, choosing this department just came to him naturally, like he woke up one morning and said that he wanted to be in this department. Henry smiled as he pulls to the parking lot of the hospital, he seems to be happy, thinking positive about the fact that he decided to meet Irene after everything that has happened to them in the past, it is not her fault and that is the only thing he is certain about, but sometimes, he could not help but to blame himself for it even though how many times he have told himself that it is not, just like what everyone keeps on telling him, he still feel the guilt because he put two important people in his life in danger. It is not only Irene who suffered, Michael have suffered too much as well, as he lost one of his hand’s senses, that he had to give up the only thing he loves and was able to keep until before that night happens, the basketball. Until five years ago that a possibility came out and as his friend who felt the blame, he joined the team that is going to fix his nerve and that is where he got interested in nerves making his decision to be a neuro has been solidified, as the brain being the center of nerves, he decided at that instant. The fixing of Michael’s hand was successful, giving him his life now as a trainee of being a pro basketball player, or so what he said when they last saw each other. Nothing has changed between them, Michael never blamed him and he never did the same thing to him just because of Irene. To put it simply, nobody really did blame Henry more than he did to himself.  And now that he is looking back, he realized how stupid he is, seeing countless of accidents in just a single day since he works as a doctor and real culprit can also be nowhere to find for the victim to get their justice. That made it worser than what they had and that also helped his mindset which he is certainly grateful with. “Good morning Dr. Altman.” Someone he encounters as he goes in said in greeting. “Good morning.” Henry said with a smile in his face even though he does not know who he is greeting right now and for the next few minutes until he gets in to his office. He has been famous with the whole hospital stuff; everyone knows him because every department needed him for consults and everything that could be related with nerves. He is known as the perfect vein master. It is such a cliché thing to call someone, and to think that this nickname has been going around for five years now, making the one who gave him this nickname is already a fellow who was just a first-year intern at that time, and was under him. And every since, everyone just loves him and loves calling him that without his knowing until three years from that time when the name giver needs to transfer because of personal issues. Henry received a few more greeting in every steps he takes until he gets in to his office with a cup of coffee in his hand that was handed by some anonymous staff as she wears their uniform made him knows. He settled himself as quick as he can because he needs to prepare for a call of his name for his stage where he will display his moves as the neuro god in this hospital like he has been always just like his preparations. Usual but thorough. “Ready for rounds?” His intern said after knocking to his office door and open it without waiting for him to say yes. “Always on time.” Henry said with a smile before he walks towards his intern and both walked out of his office to do their rounds so, he could leave with tranquility and confidence to be in another important thing. “Of course.” His intern said. He looked at him, stare at him stopping from his track before he spoke. “But you did not go home last night?” and continue his tracks after giving his intern a hard glance. “I was studying.” His intern replied. “And if you pass out later, you will regret it big time.” Henry said before knocking to their first patient. After two hours of rounds, they finished but still did not hear the call they are waiting for, he told his intern to take a nap and he would just call him when he gets the call which the intern obeyed as he does not want to miss the chance. Leaving Henry alone in his office, he decided to make a call to have an appointment for tonight. Going through his bag, searching for the calling card that Irene’s brother gave last night. “There it is.” He said when he finally found it. He quickly started tapping the screen of his phone, inserting the number to make a call before he puts it on his ear and hear it positively ringing. “Hello.” Henry said greeting the man on the other side of the phone. “Henboy. To what do I owe this favor of your call?” The man said to him. “I was wondering the whole night and came to an end, if I could I would really like to meet her.” Henry said while he stood in front of his window and take a look at the view his window is giving him. “Really? That would be great!” the man replied. “Then, I just want you to let me know when so I could make some adjustments with my schedule.” Henry said back. “Is that so? Then how about tonight?” The man said that took Henry by surprise. “Tonight?” he said clarifying a thing. “Yeah tonight. She is with me, so I guess we could go and meet you up.” The man said. “She is in the city?” Henry said in disbelief. “She is.” The man simply said. “Dr. Altman to O.R. One.” The P.A. said calling him and next his phone is in waiting call and sees the caller. “Then, I will just call you later for more details.” Henry said. “Yeah, I could hear it too. See you later Henboy.” The man said before hanging up the call.
