CHAPTER 16 Heather drops me back home later that afternoon. I struggle out of her car weighed down with bags. Egged on by my friend and the festive sound of the Christmas tunes playing from every shop speaker, I’ve spent far too much again. I’ve purchased lots of little presents for Dad, Robbie and Aunt Josie and after checking in my purse and counting out the notes I realise I’ve spent over half of my Christmas savings, and I’ve still to buy for Heather, her family and Robbie’s dreaded laptop.
