CHAPTER 29 The bacon and eggs are delicious, especially the bacon. Its dripping with fat and obviously fried. None of this charred result you get from grilling it. I eat slowly, savouring the food. Mrs Potter has ushered Mo out of the room, but her words are still ringing in my head. My eyes are continually drawn to the portrait and a shudder runs down my spine to think that someone was murdered here. What kind of hotel is this? I wonder with bemusement. I drink the sweet tea, finish my meal and place my cutlery neatly on the empty plate. It takes me a while to realise that Mrs Potter is standing in the doorway watching me.
