CHAPTER 27 Robbie and Ade finish their session to a round of thunderous applause. My brother takes a bow and then jumps off the stage like the true rock god-in-a-making he is. He heads for me and Joel, pausing to shake hands and receive back claps along the way. “You were brilliant,” I yell at him. Robbie’s sweating profusely, his cheeks are pink and he’s looking triumphant. “Thanks,” he looks at Joel, and I’m pleased when they shake hands. The crowd is starting to disperse, parents have started filtering out of the hall, just as the home time bell is ringing.
