Episode 15

  I got in my car and drove to my parents home. I don’t care what I had to do but my mom or anyone else was going to come in between aria , my kids and I . Not again. I lost almost 2 years of their life, Aria had to go through with a pregnancy alone, I know she had her parents and jasmine but it’s not the same having the support of her spouse. She carried two babies, my beautiful babies. She endured pain, and I wasn’t there. I missed out on the ultrasounds, the late night cravings, seeing her body transform. I’ve been ripped away from that and the only one at fault is my mother I don’t blame aria at all because I know what my mom is capable she did everything she could to keep our kids safe . And seeing her how well she has taken care of our kids made my love for her multiply immensely. I didn’t think that was possible I already loved her so much. 

   I pulled into my parents driveway, here goes nothing I thought approaching the door. I walked to my dads study which my mom and Santi were already there. “ what the hell were you thinking ace ? You need to marry Elena “ My dad said which I looked directly at my mother. “ I’m only gonna ask you this once, and I want you to look me straight in my face when you answer!” I yelled which shook up my mother. She simply nodded while looking at my face. “Aria never hit you did you?” She stayed quiet , she fidgeted with her hands. I slammed my hand on the desk. “Answer me mother !” “N.Nn.No, she didn’t” I chuckled, my father gasped. “Catherine, you made that up? But you had marks!” My father said in disbelief. “It was makeup, can’t you see ? I did it to protect you! “ she yelled at me. “Protect me?! Protect me how exactly mother? Because the only f*****g think you did was keep me away for almost 2 years from my kids life! Aria had to bear the pain alone to carry f*****g twins , I missed their doctor’s appointments , their first words, their first birthday. Their freaking birth for f***s sake ! All because of you! “ My dad stood their in disbelief. “ Ace ... did you say your kids?” My dad asked. “Oh come on , you don’t actually believe those bastard kids are yours!” That’s when my blood absolutely boiled ! I was about to lunge at her, I don’t give two shits if she’s my mother or not no one and I mean no one will disrespect my kids and aria and still walk around this earth free. My father blocked me. Santiago stood infront of my mother. “ I’ve heard enough! You will not sit here and disrespect my niece and nephew! That is your f*****g blood ! How can you? You have to be pretty f*****g blind to not see that Adriano is Ace’s spitting image! “ “Ace is this true ? Aria had twins? I’m a grandpa? “ he said it and his eyes soften at the word grandpa. “Yes dad, but after today I don’t think aria would even want to have the kids around here.” My mom said in a very sarcastic tone, “it’s not like we want them here anyway” I threw the chair her way, it rose her arm . “I’m telling you again Catherine say one more thing about my kids and you’re gonna be 6 feet under. And that’s a promise” I left and drove back home. I can’t believe how my mother has acted. Their her flesh and blood, but just because aria is their mother she acts this way? This is unforgivable. And what I said to her is a promise. I will not hesitate to put her under ground if she harms my kids or aria in any way. 

I make if back home , and find aria asleep in the couch , it looks like she was waiting for me to get home. I made my way to her and kneeled infront of her. I sighed, just looking at her makes me feel sane. I put my head down and just think about how f****d up my life is. I feel a hand stroking my hair, I look up to see aria smiling with sleepy eyes “I didn’t mean to wake you mamas” “it’s okay I was waiting for you... how’d it go?” I sighed, “let’s go to bed and I’ll tell you everything” she nodded and proceeded to get up. I stopped her, I just wanted to be as close to her as possible. So I bent down and carried her bridal style. “Ace, I can walk” she laughed. Are the kids asleep?” “Yes” we reached the room and I set her down she went to change into something comfortable as she was still wearing the dress from earlier.
