Alex’s POV
“I don’t know what you are talking about, Aaron,” I growled back at him.
“I’m not stupid. I know you have her and that stupid friend of hers in your pack.”
“Why do you want her back so bad? If she was just a slave, then it shouldn’t matter. She is worthless.” I told him, but in my heart, it killed me. She was so much more than that.
“Because she was mine and no one else’s.”
“You have a chosen Luna, and plenty of Omegas to care for your pack house and needs, so why do you want her?” I pressed him, wanting him to spit out what I already knew.
“Because she was paying for her mother’s sins and I can’t let that go. She deserves nothing good.”
“You know why I killed Alpha John?” I asked him, hoping he would take this a threat.
“No, and I don’t really care.”
“You should care.”
