Kane’s POV
I just hung the phone with my brother, and he ended up having to challenge Alpha John. I mean, we both knew that is what was going to happen, but I would be there for him. He told me to stay, but I wouldn’t let him do this alone. I got up from my desk and headed to our room, where I knew my mate was sleeping.
I opened our door as quietly as I could and went into our room. She was curled up in the middle of the bed, letting off soft snores. I went and took a shower and then crawled into bed with her. It was too early for bed and I knew we would end up eating a late dinner and then maybe a movie, but her sleeping schedule lately has us all messed up.
“Sugar, want to take a road trip tomorrow?” I asked her as she rolled over to me.
