||Aster's POV||
It was him!
Again!
The person from earlier, the stranger with blonde hair and ocean eyes with a distasteful attitude.
As I stood there, I saw him in a more sinister form. Standing there while one of his hand held the boy's collar the other was fisted and in the air, ready to smack the boy's cheek. I knew the boy, his name was Marcus.
He had been my classmate since third grade and had a crush on me. Last year, he had even approached me, but I turned him down politely as I knew Chandler always had a thing for him.
Well, even if that wasn’t the case I doubt I'll date him... He is just not my type!
In front of my eyes, he landed the punch on Marcus's nose... I gasped, placing my hand over my face as I watched the boy who had approached me with a toothy grin last year, getting hit.
Marcus squirmed in anguish as he landed on the ground but the blonde guy from earlier didn’t stop.
When I saw him getting ready to charge on Marcus again, I couldn’t just stand there anymore. So, I ran in between them as anger erupted in me.
I hated violence... Absolutely hated it!
“No, Stop!” I screamed as I stood in front of him, my voice high but tears threatening my eyes, while I burned with anger inwardly.
This was one of the problems with me that I hated, whenever I was angry beyond limit I would end up crying.
I saw his angry eyes landing on me, and I'm pretty sure my ones were burning with the same leveled anger. His ocean eyes were motionless for a second, then they moved past me and suddenly, anger flooded through them again, as if a tsunami was trying to explode...
I flinched as he walked past me speedily, and didn’t even care when his broad shoulder pushed me and I wobbled...
“Thanks, Aster.” Marcus coughed from beside, making me acknowledge his presence.
And I quickly diverted my eyes towards him, to find Chandler kneeling beside him with a plain cloth, and she quickly pressed it over his nose.
“Hold your face upwards, idiot.” She cursed under her breath as she placed one of her hands under Marcus's cheek while another one rested on his nose, keeping the cloth in place.
Chandler helped Marcus stand and they both left for the nurse's room.
Louis appeared by my side and pulled me outside with him.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his face filled with worries.
“I'm fine. God! Why is he such an asshole?” I muttered under my breath with my teeth greeted.
A frown appeared on Louis's face, but he quickly hid it when the bell rang.
“Just ignore him, calm down. Let's go to class. What do you have now?” Louis asked, placing both of his hand inside his pocket.
“Umm...PE! “ I almost whispered, still angry.
“Well, I have a free period. Want to skip?” he asked smiling as we grabbed our backpacks.
I couldn’t help but smiling back, as I replied,”I would've loved to, but I have to pass for this one time. Maybe, ask me later.”
“Every day until the princess says yes,” Louis grinned as he took his leave.

It's been two weeks since starting of junior year and already there's been so much of drama, that I now completely realized how right all the high school movies or novels had been!
I was doing better in high school than last time. I had all my friends to help me, and Louis. He was so supporting, fun, generous and mostly warm.
But there was times, when I didn’t like to be near him...
Louis made a few friends of his own, but he always made sure to check up on me. Eva, Jenna,Chandler also liked him. Well, his warm personality was worth it.
Sometimes he used to sit on our table at lunch, sometimes with his friends. But he never missed an opportunity to spare glances at me whenever I was near.
On the other hand, I didn’t see much of the rude blonde guy from earlier. Heard, he got suspension for two weeks.
Eva told his name was Rayven, Rayven Sylvester to be precise. Like, Louise, he was also a transferred student. But nobody knew anything more about him.
Though I hadn’t seen him and was quite pissed off at him, still for some reason I was drawn towards him.
When I had finally calmed down and was alone after returning home that day. I had thought about the cafeteria incident, playing the scene where our eyes met again and again...
I don't know why, but I couldn't help often finding myself thinking about the way he looked at me. There was something in his eyes, something that felt different from his actions.
“Penny for your thoughts, Aster?”
I looked beside me to find Eva, staring at me.
Shaking my head side to side, I replied,”It's nothing, actually! “
Eva opened his mouth then again closed them, as if trying to suppress her thoughts.
“What is it?” I asked frowning.
“Never mind, I'll tell you later when I, myself am sure about it.” She whispered, her eyes on the board.
I shrugged and put my concentration back on the board, where Ms. Dobwood was now writing something in Spanish.
I don't know why I had chosen this language of all, it's so difficult to speak that mostly I feel like my teeth are gonna fall out of my mouth when I try speaking one medium-sized sentence!
“PST...beauty, Coffee after school today? “ Lois whispered from poking his head from the front seat, making me smile as I nodded.
I was used to his small flirtations by now.
Gosh! He looked so cute while doing that. I still don't know if he did them on purpose, but there were certain times Louis did some things that were so adorable that it would melt me instantly.
***
We had half day school today, so when the fourth period ended everyone was quite happy, including me.
Gathering my things from the desk I put them in my bag.
Chandler, Eva, Jenna and me we were talking as we walked down the corridor.
“Hello, my beautiful and her friends.” Louis announced his appearance as he caught up with us from behind.
“Came again to steal Aster from us, thief?” Eva asked, her voice somewhat serious and deep.
I wonder why she reacted so differently around him than others.
“Unfortunately no, tiny pie. I came to get all of you. Milkshakes and pancakes, my treat.” He grinned like a kid as he tried to make eye contact with Eva, but she quickly averted her gaze.
A frown appeared on my face as I noticed her, okay, she was hiding something for sure... I thought.
We walked out of the school towards the café when I remembered something.
“Actually, you guys head there, I'll be right behind. I have to return a book I borrowed from the library earlier.” I told them as I turned around.
“Aster, want me to come with you?” Louis asked, stopping me on my tracks.
I looked back and gave him a forced smile, as I replied,”No, thanks. I'll be there in a few minutes.”
“Okay, come fast, or we can't guarantee you’ll get anything!” he said and tried to give off a perfectly adorable smile, as if on purpose to ease my annoyance.
He was sweet and caring but sometimes it kind of felt over bearing... I mean, it's like he is kind of obsessed with me, I don't know why.
The town library wasn’t much far away from where we parted, from that point both the library and the café were six minutes walk in opposite directions.
I walked into the library and directly went to the shelves. Placing the book I had taken earlier this week back on the shelf, I walked forward.
My eyes still on the books, I was trying to see if something caught my eyes as I made my way out of the rows.
Thump!
Bumping into someone, I almost lost my balance and held the person's both shoulder to stable myself.
“I'm sor...” I looked up, smiling shyly and... there...my heart almost came out of my mouth...
Not him again!!!!
Subconsciously, I took a few steps back as he held his icy gaze steady on me.
“You seem to be fond of bumping into me, don't you?” Rayven asked in his “too arrogant” voice.
“Oh, please! Maybe it's the other way around?” folding my arms against my chest I spit out, trying to sound equally arrogant.
He gave a cocky smile as he replied,"I'm pretty sure it's you little girl not me."
"Yah yah, sure. Whatever, stalker uncle! Present at everywhere I go." I replied trying to imitate his expression.
He didn’t say anything as he turned the other way, his right hand floating in air and spoke, his voice low, but it was high enough for me to hear,”Clingy stupid girls!”
What the hell!
“Arrogant Rude Rayven,” I couldn’t help but snapping loudly,as he had already taken a few steps...
