3 Hours OF Arrogance!

||Aster's POV|| As my brain replayed all the encounters with Rayven so far, and all the harsh words that he had uttered resonated through my mind. I decided against stepping inside the library in search of that world-class Arrogant Narcissistic Rude guy. Stomping on my foot as fast as I could, I almost ran all the way back home. Getting in, I closed the door and finally sighed in relief. Whoop! That was a great save! Throwing my backpack on the couch, I grabbed a pair of cloths and hopped into the shower. Under the cold water that dripped down my bare skin, I closed my eyes. The water flowed all the way down my ear, neck and cheeks, while my mind wandered back to the sensations I had felt with his closeness. My eyes shot open immediately, and I stepped a few steps back, panting. What the hell !!!! Quickly rubbing my body with soap, and rinsing my hair thoroughly with shampoo I stepped out of the shower with a towel draped around my body. I stepped into my room and walked towards the mirror. My orange-red hair was damp as it laid across my chest in wavy form, dripping little water droplets. I automatically moved my hand around my neck, as images flashed through my mind. My vision blurred and for a moment and, I think I transport from the present to another time... I saw myself running inside a meadow, giggling. Clutching an off-white gown in between my palms I ran, my red hair burning in the surrounding air. On top of my head lied a crown woven with orange and green gemstones, it was not that heavy and suited me perfectly. “Got you, Alexia! “ A familiar voice called out behind me and I turned my head back to see him. As soon as my head turns, his body clashes into me and we both crash on the ground, chuckling. I again moved my neck in between laughter to catch a glimpse of his beautifully perfected features... There...his black eyes like an endless night which were now beaming with warmth staring back into mine. Louis's smile softened as his hand reached out to tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear. I smiled back, closing the distance between us as I pressed a soft kiss on his cheek right next to where his lips were. He held me into his arms and I lied there looking up at the sky, which was filled with incessant blue and cotton like white clouds... With that, my vision darkened and turned into several colors splashing out of everywhere, as it raced fast leaving those images behind me in lightening speed. A gasp left my mouth as I dropped on the ground. Just like that, I was back into reality. My eyes teared up, and my vision turned blurry as I sat there, my breaths coming out into panting. This was the first clear view from the dreams or fragments whatever you want to call it. It was tormenting me for weeks... The sudden fragments that would cloud in my mind at anytime and the nightmares that kept me awake... It was him... It was Louis... I saw his features clearly this time, I heard his voice clearly as if I was actually present there... There was no blur on purpose, no distant unclear voices or images like before but a clear piece of moment with everything as translucent as a live moment. I sat there for quite some time, before my mind started working in a normal pace. I had been having all these faceless dreams and fragment rush inside my head for about two weeks now, but they were never this much lively and clear. Okay! So, maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. Maybe it's co-joining my weird dreams and the reality, trying to divert my mind from the void that was created by my parent's death. I thought while biting my fingernails vigorously, trying to resonate with my mind as I made an effort to convince myself with that logical possibility. The doorbell rang abruptly, breaking my trance and I quivered as I came to my sense. Quickly after donning into my sweat shirt and shorts, I draped the towel against my hairs as I ran downstairs. I opened the door, to find Emilia standing there, grinning eye to eye. She rushed in and scooped me into a bear hug, as she chirped,”I missed you, kiddo.” I laughed and patted her back. She had gone on a week-long trip to her parent's house. “How was your trip?” I asked her as she dropped of the bag in her hand on the couch and went to the sink to wash her hands. “Disastrous. My parents wanted to conspire me into a marriage, they even arranged me a blind date.” Emilia made an awkward expression, that depicted her utter distaste regarding the topic making me chuckle slightly. We chatted a lot, not realizing how time flew by. Emilia got me a beautiful semiformal red ruffle dress and my jaws dropped on the ground as I tried it on. We had dinner together, Emilia's special Pasta and the Japanese pancakes I had gotten earlier. She talked about her terrible, yet funny experience of going on a blind date ; totally oblivious. The night passed by better than I had thought, for the first time since past weeks I slept soundly with no nightmares tonight and honestly, it felt like after ages I had gotten such a good slumber. *** The first period was with Louis and Chandler again, and all the time Louis kept his eyes fixated on me. I was too conscious of him today. I wonder if he stared at me like that every day. Not only that, but I moved uncomfortably under his gaze, remembering the fragments from earlier. Furthermore, I was actually in a quite good mood because of the good night sleep I had gotten last night. Not to mention, I was glad that today, this was the only class Louis had I had together. As the bell rang, I grabbed my things and rushed out of the classroom ; trying my best to avoid Louis who called out my name from behind. “Hey, why are you running away from me?” He jogged beside me as he asked, frowning. “Why would I run away from you? I'm definitely not!” I avoided his gaze as I rushed forward, trying to put more force into the word definitely. “Well, seems like you are!” He blocked my way, standing right in front of me. “I'm not trying to run away from you! I have to get to the fest workshop meeting. I'll be late, see you later.” With that I sprinted on my foot away from him. I had volunteered to help with the organizer committee for the upcoming event of our town's development fundraiser event. I had moderately good grades, and also few experiences of partaking into these kinds of voluntary works in the past. So, without any complications, I was selected to be a member of the organiser committee and help with the work for the event. It was mandatory that we would be working for three periods each day, after school. As it would help me pass my time and also, socialize ; I took it up. Today they were conducting an introductory meeting at our school, I heard a total seven students were selected from the applicants to help with the organization committee and represent St. Radford at the event. I walked into the small office room in our school, where seven of us were called to get briefed about our work during the event and get introduced with each other. Opening the door as I stepped in, I halted as my eyes scanned around the room and stopped at his back. There was only a few people inside the room, seven students and one teacher. The other members who would attend the meeting hadn’t reached yet. Because of his height and unique blonde hair, he stood out most among the others in the room and my eyes didn’t waste a second before they caught his presence. Oh, no! Rayven Sylvester!! Again...!! Crap! As if he could sense my eyes on him, he turned around at the same time and his eyes landed on me... ❝Great! Three hours of Arrogance every day, starting from now!❞
