||Aster's POV ||
"Aaachoo!"
I sneezed for the third time in a row as Rayven pulled in front of my house.
Everytime I sneezed, the scowl on his face turned deeper and the way he gripped harder on the steering wheel turning his knuckles white didn’t miss my eyes.
I tried to get down from the car as he pulled infront of our front yard but without giving me a chance, he started parking his car.
Frowning I looked at him, who ignored me like I wasn’t even there.
"Why are you parking here? " I couldn’t help asking.
"Why do you think?" he replied with another question, his eyes on the rear-view mirror.
I huffed, this guy could be so irritating sometime.
First, he forcefully made me change by threatening me that he would leave me back with that man if I didn’t.
Then he didn’t talk at all,the whole way and now he didn’t even answer my question.
Arrgh!
I shivered inwardly as the horrible moment flashed through my memory.
What would have happen if Rayven wasn’t there on time?
But...Wait!
How did he know where to find me and that I was in trouble?
I gazed at Rayven, my eyebrows knitted upwards.
"Don't get down on your own," Rayven looked at me, his gaze icy cold as he spit out those words like it was a warning and there was something more to it.
Maybe a punishment of not following his warning.
I gulped as I nodded my head up and down.
Rayven got out of the car and ran towards my side, as if I would run away if he didn’t make it on time.
before I could protest, he opened the car door and again scooped me in his arm.
I gaped as my face slightly hit against his hard chest but quickly adjusted myself as I clutched on his t-shirt.
To my surprise, Rayven ran to the porch carrying me bridal style as if I was as light as a feather.
"Where's the key?" He asked as we stood in front of the door.
"Uh...In my pocket. If you would just let me... "
I couldn’t finished my sentence as one of his travelled to my jeans pocket making me loose my voice.
But it was the wrong pocket.
I coughed and tried to clear my throat as I spoke, " The other pocket."
Rayven nodded and, he effortlessly held me up with one hand while another one searched in my other pocket.
Mistakenly, his cold hand caressed slightly on the bare skin of my belly and I took a sharp intake.
I saw his eyes widen, but he was quick to mask it away.
He quickly grabbed the key out of my pocket and opened the door without wasting another second.
Rayven walked in casually and slightly kicked the door behind us, locking it. He placed the key on the small pot beside the door, and walked forward.
Weird!
How did he know where I put my keys after I get in?
My eyebrows frowned in confusion yet again, and I missed to notice when he had started walking towards the living room.
Just as he was about to place me on the couch, I instinctively clutched harder on his tee harder as I shook my head vigorously, "No, no, no. Don't put me down on the couch, it'll get wet!"
Rayven straightened me up against him again; as he asked, "Where then?"
"Umm, you can just put me down on the ground." I said softly.
"Huh, no way. I saw you hurt your ankle pretty badly, and there's no way I'm going to let you walk with the pain, before I check it out myself."Rayven replied sternly, not meeting my eyes.
I wonder what secrets he hid in those eyes.
But something in me whispered that whatever they were, the word CARE had a huge connection with them.
I realized Rayven was full of wander as he surprised me when he directly walked into the bathroom, up the stairs.
He didn’t even ask me where it was. It felt as if he knew every inch of this house.
Placing me on top of the basin counter, he opened the shelf drawers and started searching for something.
"What are you looking for?" I asked, when I saw his irritated expression after going through a few drawers.
"Fist-aid kit," he replied gloomily, continuing scattering through the drawers.
I turned my upper body a bit and opened the mirror shelf behind me.
As soon as I turned towards him, he snatched the first aid kit away from my hand so fast that it took me a moment to process, that my hand was empty.
Rayven kneeled in front of me and gently grabbed my left foot on his thigh.
"You know, you really don't have to do this," I murmured as he scrutinised my feet.
He didn’t reply, nor did he react in any way. It was as if my voice was inaudible to him.
Grabbing a spraining spray from the kit, he sprayed it around my ankle and the slowly massaged it for a few minutes.
Gosh!
Could he be a bit less nice?
Once he was done, he stood up and placed the kit from where I had taken it earlier.
I was almost embraced against him when he did it and a surge of electricity went through my body as out bodies touched slightly.
"Cough... Do you want to have a warm shower? " he asked me, his voice softer than before.
Did he always hide his eyes when he behaves nicely?
"I think I'll just change the pant and take a short nap," I said, stretching my neck.
Rayven helped me down and gave me some privacy to change, saying he would be waiting outside and to call him once I was done.
"Rayven, wait! Take that towel and wipe your hairs. And umm..you tee is wet too. You can borrow one from my dad's closet just at the end of the hall if you want. " I blurted out in one breath.
He nodded before storming out of the bathroom with the towel.
I wonder, why did he become nice all on a sudden whenever I was hurt?
I grabbed my floral pj from the hanger and sat on the commode lid as I carefully changed out of my pants.
Once I was done, I tried to stand up and walk towards the door. But as I placed some weight on my left foot a shrill cry left my voice as pain shot through my ankle.
Within a second, Rayven bursted into the bathroom; looking anxious.
He quickly supported me by holding my waist and I placed my hand on his back to steady myself.
A frown appeared on my face as my hand grazed on his bare skin and I looked at him in horror.
He was standing, his body touching mine while he wore nothing but a jeans pant that clung on his waist.
Blood rushed towards my cheek and my heart jumped, followed by me.
I tried to jump away from him, only to be pulled more into him.
Rayven carried me to my bedroom and started placing me under the duvet while I tried to look everywhere but at him.
"Rest for a while, I'll see what can I get for you to eat." he spoke, his voice unbelievably gentle and soft.
"You?" I blabbered shocked, as I looked at him and he frowned.
"I what?" he asked still frowning.
"You can cook?" I asked,my eyes enveloped in pure disbelief.
His stupid smirk appeared on his lips and his eyes danced with amusement as he looked at me like I was a show for him.
"You have no idea about the things I can do,Ms.Svenson." Rayven whispered in my ear, his voice husky.
