Reggie’s cabin was designed to reflect the tastes of a man who wished to live a life of simplicity. It was one room, save the bathroom. In the corner was a wood burning potbelly stove. It was larger than what the cabin needed to stay warm and was blasting heat. Ray thought it might have doubled as a kiln for one of the camp’s artisans. One of the few indications that part of the camp was actually off the grid.
There were several wood sculptures of wildlife scattered throughout, but the ones that were the most accurate were the bears. On the wall there were several large glass octagons. The contents were moving. Upon closer inspection, Ray could see Reggie had filled them with bees. Thousands of bees.
