The pattering of the rain on the roof kept Katrina awake. She tossed on her bed trying to find sleep. The third day had flown past like it never occurred. she had decided to stay in and not set her foot out of her room in fear of running into Nicholas especially after what happened yesterday. Earlier this morning, she had tiptoed downstairs and collected her food running back up unnoticed. The maid that was stationed to her which she kept warding off had come later in the day to demand what she will have for the afternoon to which she had happily told her mashed potatoes with shepherds pie.
