Damien was still and quiet for a minute longer than my patience lasted.
I found myself asking again, my heart shaking even though my voice came out firmly. “What did you do, Damien?"
He sighed, looking away from me as his hand traveled to strands of his hair. His hesitation made me wonder just how badly what he had done would affect me… affect us.

“Can you spare me the torture and just tell me already?” I snapped, having had enough of his bullshit.
