The second Damien left my wing, I felt it in my soul.
I also felt Elara leaving, but what I didn’t feel was the exit of the woman who had ruined the day I thought would be the best of my life.
“She’s still here…” Aura gritted ferociously within me.
But I could only sigh, trying so damn hard to keep my newly discovered powers at bay, even though I could feel the hot flame of anger licking my organs from the inside.
I was mad at her for so many reasons, but three stood out the most. First, I was angry because she left, hurting Damien and Elara while at it.
Secondly, she came back, hurting me in the process.
