CHAPTER 3
The last subject of their class ended just a little while and everyone stormed out to take their lunch, to fill their necessities and stuff.
"Can-Teen?" Jess shortly asked her friend as she tied her hair in a ponytail.
"Your treat?" she jokingly asked trying to be cute in front of her.
"Come on," she responded and with a shrugged of her shoulder addition to her poker face.
Lily giggled at her friends reaction and turned her attention in cleaning the scattered notes on their desk and moved to take their lunch on the canteen as well.
Both of them ordered chicken, a soup and lemon for a drink. For they were fond of eating chicken mostly the wing part of it especially when it was deep fried with spice on it and more on gravy.
After ordering they go take their place which wasn't located in the center but on the side which catches no attention from the crowd for they want to be isolated from the majority. They just wanted to have peace while eating and wanna savor the food itself.
As they were about to sit on the corner table which was good for two. A loud Bang! filled the cafeteria. Someone suddenly bolted and intentionally bumped unto Lily! She was immediately out of balanced and resulted to dropped her tray so loudly.
As Jessica saw her friend dropped her plate and fall on the ground with pain painted all over her face, hatred rose on her immediately.
"What the f**k are you doing?!" Jessica yelled at the penetrator putting more of the crowds attention to them.
The students who heard the commotion immediately turned their heads on their side. Others we're shocked by the sudden bang that made them face towards their direction while others are just curious to what would happen next so they gossiped and some just go back to do their own things as if nothing happened.
"Well I didn't do anything," she depended herself and smiled sarcastically.
"Look! It was her who bumped on me! Are you blind?" the girl retorted raising her eyebrows on her.
"We took this spot first," rolling her eyes at Jess and spoke in a "duh" tone.
"Yeah right! As if three persons could fit in a two sitting table!" Jess stared at her intensely as if fire would appear on her eyes anytime while bearing annoyance in her face against these three heads on her sight.
"Yeah b***h! Got any problem with it? b***h?!" emphasizing the "B" on her statement.
The temper was losing in Jessica's grasp heating her body like boiling water. Jessica raised her hand and was about to slap hardly when Lily quickly grabbed it. Shaking her head thrice telling her to not do it.
She tried to get out of her friends grasp but she just couldn't. The firm hold of Lily in her arms with the pleading face she had suddenly maketh her feel weak and brought her to consciousness.
"Oooooh? Scared cat are you?" the girl teased then laughed hysterically while pointing at them along with the two ugly puppets on her side following her reactions just to not make her awkward among the crowd.
She clenched her hand so tightly and aggitatedly biten her lips to calm herself. Her eyes full of hatred on the girl in front her. She composed herself. Breathing in and out. Sucking the blood in her lips were she bit so hard. Bearing in her mind the possibilities of what might happen to them if she fight back.
"Detention. Detention. Detention." the other part of her brain repeatedly reminded her.
"Let's go Jess. Let them be," Lily's begging interrupted her.
The pain and sorrow in her friends eyes made Jessica pulled herself together. She set aside her hatred and followed Lily silently. She crossed in between the devil and her gang who was mocking her with sarcastic stares and laughs.
"Losers," they uttered unanimously and repeatedly.
She slowly picked up their bags on the floor with some scattered soup on it and stood up. Looking at them intensely in the eye for a minute and without any hesitation hardly bumped her shoulder to the girl beside her 'no other than Stephanie' and smirked as she passed over them.
"Who's losers now?" she retorted both eyebrows c****d.
She grinned evily as she saw her hit the edge of the table and growl at her. Her faced showed too much pain from the sudden pushed she received. Unhesitantly Jessica pointed her middle finger at them, mouthing them to "BACK OFF" without a sound.
"Damn you, b***h!" Stephanie screamed her veins out.
The girl opposite them wanted to revolt but was stopped by her friends as they saw her struggle from the pain when she hit the table.
Others who saw the scene was awed by her revolt. Knowing that she was someone who seemed not to care at things happening in her surroundings.
Jessica smirked and grinned devilishly knowing that she scored against her and happily followed her friend whose bending down her head while exitting the canteen.
"You can bully my friend but I ain't your typical b***h, you b***h!" she murmured just enough for herself to hear.
"You can hurt someone else but not my friend or else you'll be damned," she added to herself while trying to catch on to Lily.

They were already outside the building, stopping outside the soccer field where the benches were located. They chose this spot to relax themselves from the tension in the canteen.
It passed three minutes already when Jess finally saw Lily supporting her left hand with the right which was covered with blood and bruises on it.
"Are you ok Lil?!" Jess asked her friend written WORRIED all over her
face.
"Yeah. I'm okay. Just a little bruises I guess," she lied hiding the pain she felt from suddenly bumping her hand on the side of the table before she fell.
"No, you're not! Let's go to the clinic now," she sternly said as she carefully pushes her to the clinic from behind which was of five minutes walked from their area.
Jess persued and insisted to bring her to the clinic despite her total disagreement and excuses that she's fine but followed at the end. She got no other choice 'cause she'll lose by force anyway. So she agreed to her friend knowing that she won't stop arguing her either. And her hand was in pain too, she can't hide it from a friend like Jess who was observant of things going on her and it was best to see a physician.
The doctor in the clinic cleaned the small cut in her hand that was resulted from hardly hitting the side of the table earlier. Putting ointment on it and covered it with a bandage.
"No fractures in your friends hand just a small cut and some bruises. Nothing to worry about."
The doctor assured the worried Jessica that her friends hand will heal after a few days.
After exchanging conversation with the expert. Jess thanked him and supported her friend as they exited the room.
"The next time it happened again, don't stop me Lil, I won't bother being in detention just to make that Stephanie pay. She's too much."
" No, it was me whom she's after. Dont get yourself between us Jess. I will handle it on my own."
"How? By letting them overstepped on you? Come on! It wasn't fair!"
Lily was silenced for a second after hearing her friends opinion as they passed through the hallway. They were on their way to there dorm 'cause they got no class on the afternoon.
"It's not that bad to depend yourself though," Jessica reminded her in a low tone with a little irritation.
"Thank you," Lily sincerely told her changing the topic.
"Thank you for protecting me and being there for me everytime I'm in trouble," she said with tears battling to form on her cheeks.
"Its fine. We're Friends after all. Friends protect each other and you know that you're my only friend here," she smiled back at Lily and patted her head as this friend tightly hugged her while she on the other hand forced herself not to be emo in front of Lily.
Few minutes passed before Lily finally broke the tight hug. Wiping the tears that fall on her eyes.
"Don't ruin my hair!!" Lily pouted as she cover her head with the other hand when Jessica ruined her pony.
Her friend laughed at her expression.
"What a cutie," Jess referred to her swollen face after the little cry.
"Yeah! I'm really cute hehe. "
"I'll take it back."
"Nope! You can't. You already said it."
"I didn't."
"Yes, you did," she insisted with a wide grin on her face.
Soothing laughter and cute smile filled the hallway as they make their way to their dorm.
**GROWL**
~Hahahaha~
They both laughed when their stomach protests at the same time.
"Ughh that b***h. I really hate her," Jess recalled. Thinking about the food she wasted.
"Forget it already," Lily persuaded her.
''This girl is so stubborn,'' Jess thought of Lily whose still being kind after all the bullies she had from that girl.
"Okay. Okay. I get it!" Jess just rolled her eyes at her.
"Let grab something to eat again then. I'm hungry."
Then the two make their way out of the campus and find a place to ease their hungry tummies.
