Jennifer's POV: I opened my eyes in the middle of the night because loud sounds awakened me. I woke up and saw that the room was brightly lit, the light from the torches outside shining in. I was still wondering who would light the torch when a sudden scream of anguish was heard, followed by a series of heavy footsteps. "What's wrong..." A question appeared in my mind; I quickly stood up, my feet touching the cold floor involuntarily, making me shiver. I slowly walked towards the door. From under the c***k of the door, shadows passed one by one. At that moment, there was a loud bang; something weighty had just banged on the door of my room. I jumped, my whole body shaking. And A liquid came in from the gap in the door; I tried to look closely at it and found… It was blood. Its blood! My legs went limp, and I fell to the ground, my heart racing. But then I consoled myself, had to go out and see what happened. Riot? Where are my parents? Are they safe or not? That's the most important thing I care about right now. At this point, the bloodstain was already flowing near me. It represents danger and reminds me to get up quickly. I mustered up the courage to put my hands on the ground, then stand up, go out and open the door to the room. As soon as the door to the room opened, someone fell on my leg, making me scream. Then I quickly put my hand over my mouth, I couldn't help but stagger back a few steps, causing the person to fall back to the ground, and I saw a pale face with a pair of glaring eyes looking at me. "Jenny!" I screamed and quickly sat down next to the person; this was my closest maid. I reached out to touch her, but she was dead. My heart felt like someone was squeezing it. My whole body was cold, and I quickly ran out. In front of me now is a horrifying scene; on both sides of the corridor are corpses, Peter, Tom, Lay, Hana, and Pristy; these are all my servants. I ran out quickly; despite the blood spurting and staining my calves and nightgown, I wanted to find my parents. I think they are at risk. I frantically ran down the corridor, tears flowing from my eyes from time to time; at that moment, I saw a person in front of me. I immediately realized it was my father. I rushed over to my father. "Dad." He was sitting with his back to me. On his head was still the crown, but the suit was covered with slashes and bloody. I trembled as I touched his wounds. "Father, what happened?" My father did not answer, but at this moment, he suddenly turned his head slowly. I saw him hugging someone, and that person was my mother… her face was dyed red with blood, and her neck was cut a thin line deep. "Jennifer, run away." "Jennifer, remember this day well." "Jennifer, run away." My father grabbed my arm, and he held it very tightly, but at this moment, I suddenly felt someone standing behind me; I turned my head and was surprised to see my uncle - Authur, with a mighty that sword long sword in hand. "It's time for the throne to change hands." After saying that, he slashed the sword at me. I closed my eyes tightly. At that moment, I woke up. So it is a dream. I put my hand over my head, and my heart was still racing; cold sweat drenched my whole body like a bath. I put my hand over my head. That was the memory of five years ago, and that nightmare still haunts and haunts me. My uncle committed treason, then killed my whole family; after that, I ran away to KWANGYA and lived as an enslaved person. I looked around, a damp and dirty room; currently, I am in the Richart family. I closed my face, suppressing the emotions rolling in my heart. It was still not morning, but I knew that I would never be able to sleep again. o0o Next morning. After a sleepless night, I was exhausted. I sat on the bed, then reached under the pillow and pulled out a wooden box. The box looks very old but is an essential object to me. I opened it, and inside the box was a necklace. Yes, this is the necklace my father gave me that night. I reached out to touch the pendant. It felt cold, but it made me feel like my father's warmth was still there. I couldn't help but burst into tears. At this moment, from outside suddenly came a high-pitched voice: "Jennifer, you b***h! Where is my pearl necklace?" The morning seemed nice and peaceful until a sharp and sour voice rang out. Even though I couldn't see her face, I assumed it was Barbara. She yelled from outside the door. Startled by her voice, I stuffed the pearl necklace back into the wooden box in a hurry, and then stashed the box under the pillow to hide it. I had barely straightened up from the bed when the room's wooden door was kicked open. Barbara rushed in with a group of werewolves, followed by Luna Debra, whose face was covered with a thick layer of foundation. Still, unfortunately, it could not hide the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes. These two women always dressed extravagantly, as if they wanted to flaunt all their jewelry in a single outfit. “Luna Debra, Miss Barbara, what can I do for you?” I asked politely, saluting them as usual with a friendly smile. I pretended to be nonchalant, not knowing that Barbara had come into my room early in the morning shouting about what was wrong. But it's not a good thing. In the face of my calm and indifferent attitude, Barbara's attitude was the exact opposite. She rolled her eyes, acting like she wanted to eat me alive. "Jennifer, where's the pearl necklace I usually wear?" Barbara growled, grabbing my collar and glaring at me. Choker? I didn't understand what happened, but she quickly accused me: "You b***h! You always have sticky fingers. You're the one who cleans my room. Where did my favorite pearl necklace go? I can't find it. Did you steal it?" "Miss Barbara, I didn't take anything from your room. You can't accuse me without evidence, " I replied patiently in a tone that was neither humble nor pushy. The nobles always had such an absurd argument. When they lost something, they quickly blamed the servants and didn't give them any chance to explain. "You shameless b***h! How dare you talk to me like that? You want evidence? Let's find it right now!" Barbara spat, shoving me backward. Then, she turned to the werewolves she had brought along and ordered them to search my room. I know I can't stop them. My small and shabby room was soon turned upside down. The old quilt on the bed was thrown to the floor, and the small wooden table and stool were kicked over with loud thuds. Worse, I had to watch Barbara walk over my quilt in her expensive high-heeled shoes. She even picked up the half-empty kettle that had fallen on the floor and poured the water on the quilt. It was as if she was taking this opportunity to vent all her anger. I tried to keep my face expressionless as I stared at the ruffians turning my room into a mess, but resentment gripped my heart and seeped into my eyes. "How dare you glare at me? You'll suffer when I find the necklace!" Barbara shouted, driving her heels harder into my quilt. I clenched my fists to suppress my anger and ignored her. After a few more seconds of watching the werewolves knock all my things to the floor, I couldn't bear it anymore. "Stop! I didn't steal anything. Why are you doing this?" I shouted. I didn't know why this is a coincidence, intentional or unintentional, but if Barbara finds my necklace, there's bound to be trouble. “Why? I’m simple. I am the Beta’s daughter, while you are just a slave, a piece of garbage abandoned by others!” Barbara snickered at me. My hand clenched when I heard those insults, but I couldn't help but feel sad about my fate. She was insulting my bloodline, which was the blood of King Alpha. Hatred in my heart rose. I also had a happy family until traitors destroyed my family, killed innocent people, and bathed in castle blood. My parents died tragically. No matter how many years have passed, the memories of that day are still as clear as yesterday. And I would never forget it,take revenge, and make my life massacred and destroyed pay a heavy price. Faced with Barbara's extravagant attitude, I had no qualms. On the contrary, I responded fiercely: "You're not noble at all. You are nothing but an orphan adopted by the Luna, " I replied fiercely. Before their deaths, Barbara's parents had been close friends with Luna Debra. That was the reason why Luna Debra had taken Barbara in. In terms of bloodline, I was much nobler than Barbara. I really didn't know what I had done to offend her. From the beginning, she had always disliked me, and stirred up trouble for me both in public and in private. At this time, a she-wolf overturned my pillow, causing the small wooden box to fall to the floor. "No!" I anxiously hurried forward to grab the wooden box. But just when I was about to touch it, Barbara suddenly approached and stepped on the back of my hand. Her heel dug into my skin, drawing blood. I couldn't help but wince at the sharp pain. "b***h, what's the rush? Why do you care about this shabby box so much? You must be hiding something in it, " Barbara sneered. A she-wolf picked up the wooden box and handed it to her. Barbara opened the wooden box, revealing the pearl necklace in it.
