Chapter Six
David felt totally disoriented as he dressed and penned a brief apologetic note to his boss about leaving for an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. As he walked to work and didn’t own a car, gathering his things meant picking up his backpack from the staff locker room and walking out the door to Madame’s waiting Tesla Model S (of course). During their ride she detailed her expectations and the rules of his new world:
