No?” Having avoided making eye contact with her before, I flashed a passing glance at her, expecting her to be looking off somewhere else. She was, however, looking directly at me and our eyes briefly met. She was very intoxicated, and very beautiful. She was so beautiful that you might expect her to be stupid. She was actually very intelligent, and she knew when to turn it on and off. Her hair was suspended down the sides of her face, draped over her ears, and formed a low knot on her neck.
