The Tales of A Vampire

C115- Laura

Laura's POV

I am Laura, the half-sister of Amanda. My father was a sorcerer but disappeared when I was a child. I haven't many memories of him. My memory of him was blurred every time I am trying to remember his face. I want to find him but I don't know how to start.

I grew up with my mother and sister, but sadly, our mother was vanished, too, which Amanda and I don't know how and why. So in our teenage life, Amanda and I live together to survive. We are looking for our parents. I love my sister. She is the only family I had, though she is different from me, a vampire. His father, I don't know much either, he doesn't want to talk about him. So we never discuss his father.

One night, Amanda told me that she will attend a party with a famous clan of vampires, The Bancroft. The Bancroft is one of the infamous vampire clans. I hate them. They are evil. Amanda and I suspecting them that they have to do with our parent's disappearance.

When Amanda was at the party, I was worried about her that I couldn't sleep. I went to the balcony looking at the stars that shine brightly that night, I close my eyes and pray to the Moon Goddess Selene for Amanda's protection and bring her back safely. After my solemn prayer, I thank her and open my eyes. I saw a red comet traveling the sky.

I hurriedly go back to my bedroom to get my phone and dial the number of my sister Amanda. My sister answered my call immediately.

"Hello, Laura," Amanda said.

"Hey, Amanda. You better hurry back home, now!" I say.

"Why?" Amanda asks.

"A red comet appeared in the sky," I say.

"You said, what?! An r-red comet?" Amanda says.

"Yes. A red comet." I confirmed.

"Where are you?" She asks me.

"I am on the veranda," I answered.

She hung up the phone and in less than a minute, Amanda appeared in front of me.

"Is what you said is true?" She asks me. I nod. She touches my head. Amanda is gifted to see what is in my mind if she touches the person or a thing.

"Yes! You are right. It was a red comet." She put down her hand and hold her hand at the trail of the veranda, looking up the sky where I saw the red comet.

"So it means that the war is near," Amanda says. Sti looking at the sky. I hold the hand of my sister.

"Yes, We should find her or him. Till now we don't know if that person is a woman or a man." I say. Amanda looks down and sighs.

"Yeah, you are right. Is there a way you can know or get information about him or her?" Amanda inquire.

"Maybe there is. Now that the red comet appeared, it might help me to see through things more." I say.

I raise my hand, the wind blows and I catch a leaf. My sister watching me. I touch the leaf and whisper to it then touch it again. At the moment, the leaf creates a scene in the leaf. I excitedly call my sister.

"Sister, look!" As I call her. Amanda appeared beside me and take a look at the leaf. We see a woman who wears all black but her face is not clear.

"So, it's her!" Amanda says.

"Ahmmm." Then a house is familiar to me.

"But wait! Hey, it's.." I say.

"It's our house!" We both exclaimed and looked at each other.

"It means she went here before! Oh, my goddess! How come I didn't know?!" I said in shock.

"Me, too." Amanda reply.

"Now, how can we find her?" As the scene faded from the leaf, I ask Amanda.

"I don't know. But what is important is, she is a woman, that is number one we know and second, she is also here in Seward Park." Amanda says. My eyes grew wider with glee!

"Yes! You are right, sister!" I said joyfully. We jump and hugged each other cheerfully when we realized these.

That night Amanda told me about the handsome vampire she met. I was happy for her.

Early morning, when Amanda went away, I go to my special room. Using the leaves, branches, some spices, I see who Jasper is. Using my ability to see the future, I see no good. I want my sister to be happy but this man will be her disaster.

I knew that Amanda likes Jasper even though they met for the first time, but it gives my heart loneliness for the two. I should warn my sister about this.

The next night, I call Jasper to my dream. I call him to my favorite forest that no one can enter except if I choose to. I saw the back of a man when I arrived.

"Who are you invading the peaceful of this forest?" I said. My voice echoed. I see his face when he turns back to look at me. He is Jasper, he came. This is a good chance to talk with him and warn him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know how I came here. I didn't mean to disturb this forest." He replies courteously. I feel he is afraid of me.

"Hmm, what is your name?" I ask him not smiling.

"I'm J-jasper, Jasper Mackintosh," He replies in a stutteredanner.

"Stay away from Amanda," I warned him when I confirmed that he is Jasper.

"Y-you knew her?! Where is she?" He asks me about my sister.

"She is fine. Stay away from her from now on. Forget her." I reply.

"N-no. I can not. Why do you say these to me? Who are you?" He said. I furrow my brows. This vampire is stubborn.

"Because that is the best thing you could do for her. Don't look for her anymore. You two are both attracting disaster. Follow what I am saying to you. This makes you safe, both of you." I said and then I vanished from his eyes.
