Tricky decision

I'm tired of going around in circles when it comes to my relationship with Nathan. Breaking up with him is hard but I just want to move on with my life.I don't think I want to jump into another relationship for a long while,I just want to focus on myself and grow.With that in mind,I rented a small apartment for myself,it isn't anything flashy or sleek but it is my home.My brother wasn't cool with this but I wasn't giving in.He always comes around to check on me which although seemed sweet at first but soon turned annoying.The first month of no contact with Nathan was hell for me especially since I kept getting updates of him and that girl I met at his parent's house.It was hard to watch him move on while I was struggling,it just didn't seem fair.He didn't even look for me,he just kept sending me those annoying messages on my love skis account.I blocked him a month after cause I was fed up of his bullshit.

There were times I was tempted to give in,times I cried but I'm just taking it one step at a time.The video online with the speculation that I was the girl involved in that scandal made me paranoid.My brother promised to help with that but I wasn't going to sit back like a helpless individual,I wanted to do something for myself so I tried tracking melvin.Its been two months and I've finally found out were Melvin is,I kept debating if I should pay him a surprised visit or call.I told Joy about this and the next thing I know,my brother was also aware.Apparently Joy talked to Cathy about this and Cathy just couldn't keep her mouth shut.Judah explained that it would be more of a disaster if the media gets a clue that I'm meeting up with or did meet up with Melvin so I should let him do it.While all this was going on the stipulated date to complete the payment for the loan I took from Nathan passed by without me taking note and 30 percent of the remaining amount was about to be added when I was contacted.

I decided all I had to do was contact Nathan to ask for a little more time.I was surprised to see Nathan's call "Hello Nathan" "Hello Nat,how have you been"he replied "I'm ok, about that loan I just need a little more time to clear it. could you give me a month to clear it without the interest" I asked "I have a proposition about that could we meet up to talk about it"he asked "No,tell me about it on phone"I said "ok,I'll just lay my cards out, Natty i'm sorry about how everything went down,I know you hate my guts and I wish things were better but I just want you to know how sorry I am for the mess" "No you are not Nathan, please do I get more time or not"I replied pissed "Here is the deal,be my assistant for three weeks and the loan is off"he said "what the fuck......"I was still trying to complete my sentence when he cut me off."Take your time thinking about it and if you agree,come to the office on Monday,bye Natalie"he said before cutting the call.I can't believe the disrespect Nathan has for me.To even suggest this after everything he has done with that girl.Maybe he just wants to rub it in my face and I won't give him that satisfaction.I needed to pour out my frustration so I invited my girls over."So what exactly is going on with you"Joy asked so I explained everything and they were quiet for a while then Catherine said "I don't think Nathan would do that to you Nat,he won't disrespect you in that way I think" "Think about everything he has been doing with that girl for two months plus way before that,isn't that disrespectful enough"I replied "Well you broke up with him, I'm just saying"joy said "So boom!the next moment he is lovey dovey with her"I said "Did you want him to pursue you Nat,cause you weren't giving off that vibe when you cut him off, you blocked him on loveskis for Christ sake"Cathy replied "I never said I want him to pursue me,I was done"I replied "You just didn't expect him to move on right,you thought he would wallow a bit,I get you"Cathy replied "I know we would eventually move on with our lives"I replied defensively "But you didn't expect him to move on so fast"Cathy said and I kept quiet cause deep down I knew she was right.

"ok,I think there is no harm in you working with him for three weeks Nat cause apparently you need closure and this might give you that, plus you get to cancel your loan.It a win for every one involved"Joy said "True"Cathy replied "Or you guys can just get kinky in the office if you know what I mean"Joy said smiling "No,no,no just no"I replied pissed "you can scream that while he is giving it to you so you feel less guilty girl"Joy said "you are disgusting, Joy"I replied while Cathy laughed then she said "Make up s*x isn't bad,plus girl you need to get some" "I can't stand you guys right now" I replied "Or you could f**k him till he is out of your system,whatever works for you"Joy concluded "Shut up already"I said while scrolling through my phone trying to distract myself from how uncomfortable I am,I got a message from Julia which made me scream"What the hell Nat"Cathy said "Julia just gave birth,it's a baby girl"I said and we all screamed.We placed a video call to her immediately and Tyler picked."Hey girls, my baby girl is here,she is so adorable and Julia is fine,she gave birth last night" Tyler said immediately "Congratulations" We chorused "we want to see Julia"joy said "Hello babes"she said weakly"My princess is here" she replied as she was breastfeeding the tiny baby "can we see her face"Cathy said "Sure"she replied and we got to see the adorable look baby "she is so pretty,I want to hold her" I said "Who gets to be the godmother Juls, remember I've been reminding you about that"Cathy said "you sneaky fellow,allow her choose fair and square" "sorry guys but Cathy has just been there for me more even with how terrible the circumstances were so we had already planned on making her the godmother" Julia said "Yes!" Cathy replied "I'm disappointed in you Julia"I replied "I'm sorry" she replied "since lobbying is the new cool,I call dip on being your maid of honor whenever you decide to get married"Joy said "what!"Cathy and I replied "it isn't done that way,she gets to pick when the time comes" I said "it's clear you ain't getting anything Nat"Joy said "oh but she is"Tyler replied"Are you naming your baby after her"Cathy asked "Can you keep a secret at all Tyler"Julia asked "come on Juls,I'm just excited" he said "can I hold her now"Tyler asked "sure"Julia said "so how did the whole process go"cathy asked "It was very much excruciating and long,I love my princess but I don't want to do this again in a very very long while"Julia replied.

"she is your bundle of joy right" joy asked "sure"Julia replied"Why not name her Joy instead of Natalie then,I'm just saying no offense intended"Joy said "that's selfish of you Joy"I replied "Julia we would talk to you later,I need to beat some sense into Joy" I said "babes behave"Julia said "we are not your baby" Joy said "ok,that is it,I sense drama,bye girls"Julia replied smiling before hanging up."I can't believe you Joy,you don't lobby to change a child's name or to be the maid of honor"I said "Tell that to Cathy who lobbied to be the godmother,you snooze you lose"Joy replied "it's a baby for Christ sake you two, and that's my goddaughter you are fighting about" Cathy replied "shut up already" I said to Cathy "Girl shouldn't you be trying to figure out what to wear for work on Monday"Joy asked "No cause I haven't decided on doing that yet" I replied rolling my eyes.We talked all day making plans on when to visit Julia and the baby plus gifts to get them,at the end of the day,they all left and I was exhausted.

That weekend I thought about it for a long time,even Andre noticed I was bothered when he came to visit so we talked about it and he said I should give it a try so on Monday I woke up earlier than usual looking for something decent to wear.When I got to the the building I had to sign to get my identity card which was ready for me,then I moved to Nathan's office.I was too nervous to walked in so I stood in front of the door for a while until someone walked out of the office.It was Nathan and his sister Nora.I knew then I had bitten more than I can chew.
