Keeping my Man

Natalie's POV

It's been hard without Nathan,I am madly in love with him and it happened too fast.I tried keeping myself busy with school work.Trying to meet up with my business projects and working part time.It kept me busy all semester so even if I was still hurting inside everyone around thought I was coping fine.I miss Nathan a lot.

Going to Judah's place and seeing everyone there except Nathan, I felt relieved at first.Then I was irritated, is he avoiding me,he hurt me so I should be the one avoiding and ignoring him I thought. I went back inside to hear the guys talking about Nathan."I hope she doesn't get mad when she finds out, especially about Nathan"Judah said "what is going on with Nathan?" I asked as they turned.

"Emmmh.......nothing much,he is just coping"Andre replied "Yea" Judah and Hansel replied "ok" I said walking away hurting I went into one of the rooms, locking the door I cried cause I know the guys were trying to spare me the pain of finding out that Nathan is moving on,maybe with someone else.It wasn't easy to accept so I buried myself with more work.I hanged out with Betty and her guy. Sometimes Mike joined us,I knew Joy was busy with her guy so I didn't want to disrupt anyone's life with my mess.

Our clothing line was having issues, getting exactly what we designed was becoming a bit harder than we expected. So Cathy came over to work on that. I noticed she went out with Judah but came back sad and was at it all day so I decided to ask one evening "what's going on Catherine" "Nothing" she replied "well I know you and Judah went out and you came back sulking,so spill"I said "fine,we had lunch,I told him I wanted us to get back together and he kept talking about me being confused since I just broke up with Andrew and I would get over it and Julia" she said "but Catherine,you pushed him away and that hurt him,he loves you and you hurt him,besides he has a thing with Julia now" I said "I know I hurt him and I regret that now,i'm really sorry about that as for Julia they are just f**k buddies the last time I heard so it not like I was breaking anyone up" Cathy said "I knew this might happen" I replied "Yes I was warned and I have myself to blame, but I never stopped loving him" she said as Julia barged into the room,I guess we were so engrossed with our conversation that we didn't hear her come in until she got to the room.

"Stay the hell away from my man Cathy,or what ever you call yourself" julia said "don't you ever call me Cathy again, and if he is your man officially i'll step back but right now he isn't so get the hell off my face"Catherine replied "He doesn't want you though, you were just his f**k buddy a s*x toy" Julia said "And what are you now to him" Catherine replied "can the both of you just calm down" I shouted but they didn't listen and went right on "You are just a charity case, appearing where she is not wanted, wasn't that why you called him to help with your pathetic life in Washington DC"Julia said "stay the f**k away from my man I just lost a man I loved cause of a lady just like you who keep jumping from one guy to another and now I know Judah and I can be more i'm not letting another stupid slut snatch him away" Julia concluded "I'm not going to argue with you cause I now know why you are like this,you are insecure about your relationship with Judah but just so you know Judah isn't one to cheat and after our lunch together I already decided to give him space but even without me in the picture your insecurity would still be a demon in you relationship and i'm sure that insecurity was what actually made you lose the guy you loved" Catherine said,Julia slapped Catherine who wanted to return the favour but I pulled her back "Stop it the both of you right now, Julia was it necessary to raise your hands on Catherine" I asked "of course you would support her,isn't that what you were doing when I got here,encouraging her to steal my man" Julia said

"that's not true Julia,I get that you are mad but..." I said but Julia cut me off "i'm not surprised,did you even consider me a friend.I guess that's why they all leave you Andre,Mike and now Nathan", Julia said and I froze,I couldn't respond cause that cut me."I'm sorry Natalie,I don't mean that.I was just so mad and I said that cause I wanted to make you hurt like me and that's selfish,rude and stupid of me" Julia said but I was still frozen, how did I get here I thought "Natalie are you ok" Catherine asked but I kept quiet "please Natalie i'm sorry" Julia said sobbing as I walking towards the bathroom she ran out crying.After about forty five minutes I came out and we all went to bed.

The next morning Julia kept sending me texts apologizing but I ignored.I walked out to hear Cathy talking to Judah on phone.She asked if they were dating and soon she cut the call.Turning to me she said they are now dating and I nodded. we went about our business for the day and in the evening went to a bar to get a drink, Catherine met a guy and they hit it off, soon she left with him laughing and I got wasted.

At some point I called Nathan,he picked on the fourth ring and I said "You cheating baaastard,Nate why" I said sobbing "I'm sorry natty" he said "I miss you so mucccch" I said and then I hiccupped "Are you drunk Natty" he asked "Nate where are you" I asked "i'm at the apartment" he said "Okay i'm coming home" I replied laughing "you are definitely drunk" he said "No i'm just a little tippy,sippy,tipsy,hippy" I replied laughing "where are you baby"he asked but I ignored him called a cab and next thing I know I was at his apartment. "Nathan why did you do that,why are you alloiding me.I love you" I said as I stumbled into his apartment "God! how could the guys let you leave like this"he mumbled "i'm a big big girl,I went out alone" I said "Nate" I called "yes babe" he said "Julia said I was bad that's why you left and that why everybody always leaves me" I said sobbing "I don't wanna be bad" I continued "You are good babe, too good" he replied.

I woke up the next morning confused, this looks like Nathan's apartment I thought "morning babe" Nathan said and I jumped up only to notice my head was pounding so I sat back down "I see you are sober" he said smiling,giving me aspirin and pancakes I felt a bit better so I closed my eyes hoping to open it in five minutes time but I woke up in the afternoon and Nathan wasn't around so I sneaked out dropping a note apologizing to Nathan about showing up in his apartment unannounced.

I got home to meet Catherine and Joy in the apartment "I was so scared Natalie" Catherine said "young lady did you hook up with a guy at the bar" Joy said wiggling her eyebrow "No I didn't" I said "so where were you all night" they asked "I got drunk,went to see nathan and embarrassed myself end of story" I said "did you spend the night there" Catherine asked and I nodded "Give us all the details" Joy said and I told them the bits I remembered.it is embarrassing i said "why did you sneak out though" Joy asked "cause I couldn't face him" I said screaming.We also talked about everything that happened with Julia and Joy was surprised."I warned you about getting back together with Andrew,I knew he was bad news but you just couldn't see it"Joy told Cathy "I was so stupid but its past now,he is with Julia so i'll just back off" Cathy replied and we nodded "that's the best thing to do right now" I said to her "so guys I heard Andre and Nora broke up again and he has been down" Joy said "Are you sure about that cause they breakup and makeup every now and then" I said "I think this one is serious cause Andre said he is done with her drama,she is now dating this guy called Mason and Andre is coping better now,I think we all should go out so you, Cathy and Andre can meet other people" Joy said "i'm ok with that" Cathy said "i'm not going to a club with you guys,I think i can't handle my alcohol that much" I said. "Don't worry Hansel would drop you off when you are ready to leave or if we notice you are getting tipsy" Joy said "ok" I replied and we began talking about business.

That evening Joy left and Catherine went on a date with the guy she met according to her it wasn't anything serious.he was visiting the country and would be back to UK soon.I decided to pay Judah a visit since I knew Julia would be there,yes i've been ignoring her text cause I was hurt and I needed to calm down but I need to say my piece now and get over this.Getting to the apartment I remembered I didn't call so I did,Judah picked on the second ring and said "hello Natalie, how are you" "i'm fine is Julia at your place" I asked "Yea"

"Good i'm at your door,I need to speak to her" I said "ok are you guys cool"he asked "Maybe"I replied and soon I was at the door, as I walked in Julia came downstairs in Judah's shirt saying "I'm so sorry Natalie" but I raised my hand cutting her off to say "Yes you are my friend Julia but it doesn't give you any right to say hurtful words to me,I don't care if you were hurt or irritated if you do this again I won't feel guilty when I talk about your baggage,secrets and situationships too.I would protect my mental health at all cost,take note of that" I said "i'm sorry" she replied and I nodded.

"Are you done with your cat fight" Judah asked smiling and I nodded. "just so you know Natalie,Julia is my girlfriend now"Judah said "Yea I already heard about that,congrats" I said smiling "he is all mine now" Julia said "let celebrate sometime,how about tomorrow its Saturday" Julia asked "Nah i'm a bit busy some other time" I said and as I left I hoped julia and Judah don't find out about us going to a bar,cause things would be awkward for Catherine.
