Kael didn't know if everything was rushed, or slow, or happening too fast, but all he knew was that he was exactly where he wanted to be.
He might still have an issue trusting fully, but he was willing to give this feeling, whatever it is that he feels for Morvienne, whatever pull they shared, he was willing to give it a chance.
He pulled back slightly, his eyes taking in her face. Her cheeks were red, a soft pink that made her look shy and flustered. She fidgeted a little, glancing away, then back at him, her hands twisting together at her sides. The way she avoided his gaze and bit her lip made her look both nervous and adorable, and he felt a small warmth in his chest.
"I should probably leave now," he said softly, his voice low and a little tight as he felt his heart beat faster.
